EAST COAST WINCHESTER MECHANICAL INC

Went to their office and arranged an appointment for a tech to visit our home and give us an estimate for replacing our 20 yr old furnace and central air. We were introduced to the technician. Tech arrived as scheduled i.e on time. He did a cursory inspection of the old furnace and we provided him w/ literature that came w/ the furnace and AC equipment. We told him to base his estimate on highly efficienct products without going to the most efficient/expensive equipment. He wrote a few things down and said he'd give us an estimate in a few days. The estimate arrived via e-mail in 3 days and the price was fine. Unfortunately it was based on mid range product, efficient but not what we expected. We e-maied back requesting a revised est based on specific model numbers for the furnace and the AC and asking for clarifications on several items (thermostat, CO detector, rebates, etc.). A week later we hadn't rec'd a response, decided on another contractor and e-mailed this tech thanking him for his efforts. Bottom line: the tech didn't perform a load calc, based his estimate on replacing the old equip w/ similar new equipment, and wasn't particularly responsive to our request for a revised estimate. We would give this company one more opportunity We'd expect to have to feed them very specific requirements regarding what we require and to ask alot of questions.

This company was responsive both in giving me a quote and getting the work done. They came in on budget and were very easy to work with. I was completely satisfied with this company and would use them again.
