Most remarkably, when Don and his crew arrived on Monday morning (I was told it would probably be a full two-day job) HE ASKED ME where I'd like him to begin! I've never experienced a contractor so willing to consider my convenience as his starting point! I was most worried (yes I had guests arriving on Friday and was worried that there'd be a real mess to clean up prior to their arrival) that the newly finished wood floors, all of the furniture, everything would be a stressor for me. I also stressed about the landscaping which, as with most houses of my vintage, is mature and just the way I want it. By around 3:30 that first afternoon, all old windows, storms, and stops had been removed; all new windows were in; floors were as clean as they'd been when Don and his crew arrived; furniture was totally untouched; and not a bit of the landscaping flanking the house had suffered any indignity.
On the second morning, Don and the crew arrived and, without even troubling me and the dog (Don was a real dog-lover so he was very patient and a treat with my Alphie!) set about finishing all of the external work on all windows. By 1:30 or so, the entire process was done, Don and I did a walk around, and the entire job was perfection.
It would be silly to continue the superlatives, but Window World of Western Massachusetts--from top to bottom--ranks among the very best experiences I've ever had in work on my home. They're to be commended and, from my point of view, recommended VERY HIGHLY.

Replaced our bay window with three standard windows joined together, very pretty.
However, used existing siding from our house to put over front windows as removing the bay window left a bare spot.
Where they took existing siding, they replaced with GRAY siding, on our light blue house. We were told they would try to match it as close as possible though it wouldn't match exactly because our siding is old. This isn't even a little bit close. Worker said that he told us it wouldnt match. It has been about three weeks and today I am told they are shopping for supplies to fix it.
The vented soffit panel over the new front windows was replaced with solid aluminum and does not match. We asked them to match the soffit panel, shouldn't be too hard. The worker said they don't make that kind anymore, and also told us we would never find light blue vinyl siding. However, a quick search on Lowes.com, and I found both.
They were not able to finish the work on June 13th due to rain, understandably, and said they would be back the next day. Never showed up though we waited around for them. Worker said he "didn't have our phone number to contact us".
We were told they would come early Monday morning. Showed up closer to noon, which is when we discovered the rather dark gray siding on our house. Called the office to complain and they said they would rectify the issue. (Office staff is very pleasant). Owner showed up to our house, but the worker cut in front of me, went out and shut the front door to talk to him and I never got to speak to him.
Then the worker assured me he would be back tomorrow or soon and do the work, and had me pay the balance (so mad at myself for paying). We left for vacation for 8 days, and when we came back, nothing had been done.
WW said they their supplier doesn't carry that color of siding, but since we were told we would be getting a close match, they would do it. Then the worker we had here said we would have to pay for the "extra labor". I will not be paying anything more.
They also did not do as good of a job as they should have cleaning up, we picked up some very large pieces, some in our bushes, as large as a foot.

"Thank you for your post. We are sincerely disappointed that your experience with us was not up to our usual high standard. From time to time, employees may make decisions that are less than a "10". Sometimes, as in this particular case, we have to replace them with someone else who understands our high standards for installations, clean up and customer service. As far as the materials go, we worked very hard to find a match for your previously installed siding even though it was faded from age and we had not installed it. We did explain this would be difficult before entering into the job agreement. We do everything we can to make things right for our customers. We usually succeed. The owner takes particular pride in our high customer satisfaction rating. Thank you for your business."
