Overall, I thought the process was going somewhat smoothly, even though I found myself having to be more proactive than necessary to make sure things were getting done. I locked a mortgage rate at 4.875%, or so I thought. I was told 2 weeks after locking that the rate actually was NOT locked. So, now my rate is 5.75% -- almost an entire percentage point higher. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at Westfield and stated this to the senior loan officer, who did nothing to rectify this negligence.
