Owner Wayne arrived at my house on July 6 to install my custom made countertop. He brought his son with him to help him install, he is a child! Wayne brought one piece of the countertop into my house and stated to me "we have a problem." The countertop had no overhang and did not fit flush to the stove as we had requested several times. At this time a member of my house noticed what was going on (Wayne was trying to convince me that he would fix this problem by taking it back to the shop and installing a backsplash) Voices were raised because of the error and New England Custom Countertops was trying to convince me of alternatives to the problem. This issue here is that we did not get what we ordered, the owner acted unprofessional. I received an email from Lisa the owner stating that my significant other was "under the influence of something."
After a heated argument New England Countertops left my residence. I informed him that I wanted nothing to do with them due to their unprofessional attitude. He acted as if he was the "God of countertop installation" I have since received a refund for the countertop and have found another company that is going to have the same countertop installed in one week! I do not recommend this company to anyone. A lot of wasted time waiting for their "custom countertop" If I wanted a backsplash I could have gone to Home Depot and gotten the same thing for less money and less aggravation.
During the first phone call, I asked Wayne for a ballpark estimate based on choosing a particular type of countertop so that neither of us would waste our time if the ballpark estimate was out of my budget. His ballpark was within my budget.
We made an appointment to meet so he could show me samples, measure the counters for a template, and get me final costs. At the end of that appointment, he had exact costs, which were within a couple hundred dollars of his ballpark estimate. Lisa, Wayne's very efficient and friendly wife, mailed me the contract. We then scheduled an installation date.
Wayne showed up with his assistant right on time on the installation date. Within an hour and a half or so, I had brand-new, absolutely gorgeous, seamless countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. I love them! What I love even more is having such a smooth transaction, which happened within just a couple weeks' time, from the time of my first call, to the installation. I will definitely use Wayne again when I get a new countertop for a second bathroom. His wife Lisa facilitated everything.
Like most people, I really value having a good working relationship with people I hire. That's exactly what I got with Wayne, along with the gorgeous countertops. I highly recommend him.
