rI am adding additional comments in reference to the work and promises AF was hired to do in 2103  and updating  my past wo reviews. The last indicated Dave, the owner  never sent  us our refund check after promises and promises via text. <we still have each and every communication saved)  He only offered a refund fof $525. after we paid in full the entire for wood, tile and installation. We had to hire a new contractor to finish our stairs which cost out an additional $2500 plus.  I mentioned the grout. We had it repaired  too and now  other areas are cracking. It is frustrating to spend over $20,000 for kitchen and 2.2 bathroom tile, dining room, living room, hall and wood for 12 stairs only to have hammer marks nail marks and cracked grout less  and no compensation for the unfinished stairs. As I said, he talks a great talk and didn't not do as he promised.  I changed my rating and I wanted to give all F's but the kids who installed the wood tried very hard to do job laying red oak wood. They were late  every day and some days 2-3 hrs but they were nice kids. One was sloppy nailing and left several scratches and hammer marks. I share not out of revenge or greed but for a job not up to verbal agreement and learning we didn't get what we paid for.

My original review was on 7/29/ 13. I promised to follow up so here I go. 12 stairs were included but work never completed. After waiting on back order for "custom wood" almost 5 months later we were told our stairs weren't up to code and that had to be fixed before our stairs could be installed. What? You measured our stairs before ordering the" custom wood". We hired a new contractor to install our wood and to bring our stairs to code the problem was getting our " custom wood" from David. I had to drive to his location at 11:00 pm to pick it up in my vehicle. The "custom wood" was nothing more than lowes tread that been hand stained by them obviously that day. In December David promised me a refund of only $525.00 although we paid an additional $ 2,300 plus because we did not receive the correct measurements of treads or no backing, etc. to make a long and horrible ordeal short he has not sent our refund and I have called several times. He is a liar but I'll give him this, he's a fantastic sales man!
And our kitchen grout has cracked on a few tiles. This happened during the tiling and the sub contractor repaired it. It's crack again and in spots that are not walked on.
I'm really sorry things happened as they did because David had me convinced he does the best job and was an honest man.

It was good and I was happy. It is a small store and I got one on one attention. The owner was personally involved. If I had a question, I didn't have to be on hold for a sales team. It was very easy to contact somebody right away. They had good prices. Two young men came out for the install and they were fast and cleaned up. There were no problems. We had a few bids and they were actually lower so the price was good.

Bad communication after hired and paid.  The 3 guys who did the installation  did a nice job minus a few details. They will be back in two weeks to finish the stairs due to a difficult encounter and now have to order different wood.  I just feel like once the owner got his contract signed he no longer cared about us and the lady in the office told me what I wanted to hear, not the truth. After I VOICED my concerns they were on time and more communicable; however the owner did not stop by once to see how the job was going. From my understanding he always stopped by all job sites. And the few times I have called him he says no problem but seems to rushed to have a conversation.
I will write another review once the stairs and few minor errors are resolved and the damaged property replaced or repaired.
I can attest that the tile in our kitchen and 2 and half baths looks beautiful and the hard wood looks nice too.

For hardwood floors, this company was OK. For countertops, it was not a good experience.
I order hardwood floors throughout the house. The quote came in lower than the competition. Plus, to seal the deal David, the owner of Affordable Flooring, offered to tile my floor for free with some porcelain tile overstock. BTW, all of my communications went through the office manager (the owner is very hard to reach).
Though there were quite a number of dings, scratches, and cracks to the trimwork they removed to install the flooring, the flooring looks good. I had to clean up a lot of glue, and was a bit disappointed that they didn't do that work. (They also didn't flush the toilet after using it ..., but whatever).
When it came to the countertops, though, it was a bad experience.
I paid $1200 for a 3x5 piece of custom-cut Corian with a sink. In all, it took 50 days.
The company missed three or four appointments. Their counter subcontractor quit on them. So, I had to take multiple days unpaid off of work to accommodate measuring, remeasuring, etc.
Even though the contract clearly states plumbing was included, the company couldn't perform. The owner tried to do the work himself, only to leave the project halfway finished. His father actually finished the job, but the company nevertheless charged me an additional $100 to have his father (who may or may not have been a licensed plumber) finish the work.
Only when I threatened small claims court did the owner call me. Until then, he insisted his office manager (a secretary in the shop) could handle all communications. When the owner did finally speak with me, he tried to make me the bad guy for being impatient.
When I complained about his company's work, he said he was being disrespected.
I would not recommend this company.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the two men who did the installation. They answered any and all questions that I had. My experience, from start to finish, with Affordable Flooring has been very positive. Beginning with Judy who helped me decide and choose a floor, to the measuring and installng..... everything was great and I LOVE my new floor!!!

Work was done quickly and professionally.  The installer was on time and worked very hard each day he was

here.  Very happy with the results.
