I had my snowblower tuned up at a local Ariens dealer over the summer. They were supposed to have also done an overall checkup of the machine's functioning. I had mentioned that one of the drive wheels was slipping when under stress. In January, I started using the snowblower and noticed that the prior year's problem of wheel slippage remained. I opened up the wheel assembly and the housing for the differential and clutch. Not a thing had been lubricated. So, I started looking for another place and found RJ Repair on Google. For much less money than the dealer, Bob at RJ Equipment lubricated all the internal parts properly, verified that the dealer had in-fact changed the spark plug and changed the oil, made the necessary adjustments to stop the wheel slippage and delivered the machine back to me in 4 days. He also pointed out that the dealer had bent a heat shield to replace the spark plug (they couldn't loosen a rusted bolt). He was able to loosen the bolt and he bent back the heat shield to where it belonged. Bob is conscientious, thorough and reasonable. A pro. No short cuts.
