The job went very well. It was a 2 day job. Most of the work was completed on day 1. It included pouring a new footing 4 'in depth under landing section outside corner. This had to settle before installing a 4x6 pt post from the new footing up to the deck frame corner on day 2. 2 new deck joists with timber locks were added. An outer rim joist was replaced. Timber lock all of the existing posts to frame as they were separating. Also, secure the deck to the house with hex lock timber locks. Besides the completed work, what really stood out to me was the company's same day/evening responses to any questions that I had. After the 1st couple of phone calls (which were answered at that time) during business hours, most of our communication was through email. If I had emailed a question at 5pm on a Friday, I would get a response either that night or sometime during the weekend. I didn't have to wait until Monday or later of the following week. To me, that was very important!

I contracted with Dan Peirce to put vinyl siding on the exterior of our screened in porch as well as paint the interior. It also required an additional support post and re-bracketing underneath.  The project initially was priced at approximately  $4,500. I was aware of some spots where there might be rotted wood and was prepared to pay extra in the event they had to replace it here and there. The day they started I gave Dan my cell phone number and told him I would be in and out but available all day and able to stop back in at any time. I asked him to call if there were any issues. When mold was discovered all three walls were demolished and partially hauled away with no phone call to me. When I returned to the house there was only the ceiling and the floor left and a couple of moldy panels for them to show me. When I asked one of his workers if there had been mold on all the panels he replied that he thought so. While I certainly hope they were being honest about the extent of the damage Dan should have called me before allowing it to be ripped out. He was usually not on site except for first thing in the morning, which is probably where some of the problem lies. I received an email from him that evening at 6:45 explaining what had happened after the fact. The additional construction was quoted at $3,375. I agreed to this feeling that I had little choice at that point. Communication throughout the project was poor. Additionally, the demolition left lead paint chips all over due to insufficient use of drop cloths. When the job was done there was an additional $800 dollars added bringing the total to $8,688.42. When I questioned the surprise additions he said it was for things we discussed after the second proposal that were not included.  I told him that if they were not included he should have told me that and mentioned what the costs would be. I asked if we could split the difference, which he said no to. I paid the full $8,688.42. The final product looks good but the process was not smooth. 

Very pleasant and professional.  Showed up on time and finished up on time.  Great job on all work for a reasonable price and did a superb job with clean up.  I will definitely use in the future for other products.

I have a very good experience with this contractor. They were responsive with my calls and honored the schedule we agreed to. Work was done in a very professional manner. They cleaned up and left the job in a good way. Dan was very customer service focused. He took the time to give me options and explain the details. When my painter came after Dad was done, he identified no issues with the work and confirmed that he Peirce did a very good job. Overall I was very pleased and would not hesitate to have them back on another job.

Dan responded very quickly and did a great job on everything I asked him to do. He is very pleasant, easy to work with, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend him.

We had a good experience with the company. He was absolutely great, he was very accommodating with our schedule and he did a fabulous job. He was absolutely professional. He cleaned up really well. It was just what you would want to have.

I purchased an older home with the bedrooms upstairs in a converted attic. The staircase landing was too short and the stairs were uneven. I was concerned about my young child falling. Dan was able to install a new staircase very shortly after I moved in. He understood exactly what I wanted and gave me a fair price. He had great suggestions that I hadn't thought of. He is very pleasant and professional and cares that his customers are completely satisfied. His employee Dave was just as great. I get a lot of compliments on the new stairs and my daughter feels much safer on them. I am very appreciative.

Peirce Home Improvement was recommended to me from a friend, because I was having difficulty locating a handyman in my area who was available and who had good reviews on Angie's List. When I contacted Dan, he listened as I listed off my handyman tasks and he said he had the time to complete all of them. Before beginning the work, he came to my house to see the supplies I had purchased and to figure out what he needed to buy to do the remaining jobs. When I mentioned that I needed my air conditioners taken out of the windows, he agreed to do that task right then and there because the weather was getting cooler. On the first two occasions, Dan and Alex arrived promptly together, and Alex finished off the last few tasks on part of a third day. These men are extremely polite, cooperative, and personable. They are willing to listen to the homeowner's requests and concerns, and they consult one another for ideas about how to do the more complex jobs. They are conscientious, experienced handymen, who take pride in doing excellent work, and they clean up after themselves which is greatly appreciated. I was extremely pleased with everything. No task is too small for them, and that is important. I look forward to hiring them again when the need arises, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who requires their services. Dan is licensed in certain areas and these men are able to do a variety of jobs, including kitchen and bath remodeling. So it is an awesome one stop shopping experience.

I was very impressed with the patching, the new pieces match the existing floor great without having to apply stain. These floors were in rough shape before the job started and now they look superb. Dan was able to schedule the start date on the job within a week's time and the team worked non-stop to get the job done to meet an aggressive deadline. My only gripes would be: I would have preferred to see a more complete, detailed written estimate to avoid some miscommunications as the job progressed, no warranty was given/offered, and also somebody left a coffee cup on one of my bay window sills leaving a pretty bad stain. That being said, the work done was of very high quality and I am very pleased with the result. I would certainly recommend Pierce to friends and family.

Dan Pierce gave me estimate in June and told me that work could begin at the end of July. Dan was easy to talk to and understood what I wanted done. Everyone involved was polite and professional. Took the appropriate amount of time to make sure job was done correctly. The finish job looks fantastic.
