MassRADON showed up on time performed the service and cleaned up after. They were professional and took less than 3 hours to install a system.

It was great!  They were timely, efficient and very professional.  The system they installed was extremely effective.  We recently tested the radon reading after the installation of the system and it reduced a very high reading before the installation to a very minimal reading well below the required limit.   We were extremely impressed!  We would highly recommend this company.

It went very well. In just a week's time since the installation, the radon levels have gone below 1.0 pCi/liter level. They had never breached the 4.0 limit set by EPA but had come close,. Since we spend a lot of time in the basement, and the WHO limits are much lower, we decided to be proactive and install a mitigation system. Rick called me back after I contacted him via email. He came out in-person a few days later to review the layout of our house. He took his time reviewing options for the best path for venting pipe as well as locations for the concrete slab holes. He took my input into consideration and walked me through all our options. Based on the construction of our house, we had two suction points drilled into our concrete slab, a higher powered fan, and we were able to vent it out of our garage attic to avoid an unsightly PVC pipe on the exterior side of our house. They even sealed a few small cracks in the concrete slab to ensure good suction beneath the slab. I had also contacted a nation-wide competitor prior to talking to Rick. The competitor did not do estimates in person. Everything was over the phone based on age/location of house. Also every "addition" was an added charge: second suction point of connection to foundation, upgraded fan, routing the pipe through garage. Each of these added up and MassRADON's price ended up being hundreds of dollars less (even with coupons and discounts the competitors provided). Also because Rick came out in-person for the estimate, I knew exactly how they were going to route the pipe and vent it and power the fan ahead of the installation. Also his quote was a fixed-price and there were no surprise charges. Rick came with two other workers so they were done in just a few hours vs taking all day for a single person. They ran into one or two unforeseen issues with the chosen route but they worked around it. It took them a little longer than expected but that was it. No extra fees. They ended up having an appointment cancellation which meant that the turnaround from them providing an estimate to doing the work was only a single day. Rick told me that right now they have about a week lead time on installation appointments usually. Only negative feedback that I would give is that I would have appreciated a little more clean up in the basement. There was some sand on the floor left over. But overall they did clean up after themselves and it was not a big deal. I'm guessing that if I had noticed before they left, I'm sure they would have taken care of cleaning up more.

"Thanks [Member Name Removed], it was great working with you and I appreciate the positive review. I am sorry about the sand on the floor, just an oversight on my part, we do try to leave places as we have found them."
