I am under a warranty contract with them. 9 times out of 10 they are helpful, friendly and responsive. Scheduling is easy and they were able to get me in right away and on the day I requested. It took about 3 hours to complete the work on my car. If it was any more than that, they do have a complimentary shuttle service or a car rental service. We have been long time customers with them.

I originally purchased the battery from another GM dealer thirty miles away. Now I'm not one to bring things back to the store, so I didn't dig through my receipts on the way out of the house. A serial number was printed on the top of the battery, so no problem - or so I thought.
Once I brought it in, the parts manager took a look at it and politely told me he couldn't help. Even after I mentioned where this was purchased, he was not going to get the other GM dealer on the phone. I got the impression this was too much work and outside of the process. He wasn't very interested if it was going to add to his paperwork and not his bottom line.
He did offer up the address of his distributor down the street so I could ask them to accept the battery back. But this was why I purchased my battery at the GM dealer in the first place - so if anything happened they could access their sales records, stand by their products, and offer a replacement.
Shame on me for not bringing back the receipt, but I was very disappointed at the lack of commitment from the parts group to insure customer satisfaction. I think I'll be driving further to build and parts or service relationship with another, more customer-focused GM dealer in the future.
