Mr. Hametaj arrived with the mason promptly at the agreed-on time and we inspected the porch and determined what needed to be done. He coordinated his schedule with the mason and arrived the day before the mason began. As we agreed, he removed some of the floorboards and part of the railings, raised one corner of the porch from the stone column which needed to be rebuilt, and propped up the porch roof in that corner with two-by-fours. When the masonry work was complete, he carefully replaced the original floor boards, avoiding the need to install and match new wood, replaced the railing and wooden wall, fitted new shingles in the places where the original ones had to be removed, and painted the new and restored areas with two coats that matched the original, rather faded paint as well as could be expected. The repaired area is strong and sturdy. The carpentry was well done and the repaired area matches the adjacent areas quite well.
