Rick arrived on time, measured the doors, and had an estimate ready within a few days. When we ordered, they said it would take 2 months for the doors to be ready. Exactly at 8 weeks the shutter doors came in and within a couple of days Rick was here to install them. He was efficient, professional, and meticulous. These doors were well worth the wait and truly add so much class to the room. Now, I am looking into ordering shutters for the windows too.

They were AWESOME. From beginning to end, we had a great experience with them. They came out to see the house, took measurements and gave us an estimate all in the same day. We went by their store and they were very helpful and knowledgeable in getting us exactly what we wanted. The estimate was right within our budget and that is what we paid. The windows came in a very timely manner and they were installed almost immediately (and look beautiful). Melissa in particular was fantastic to deal with - so helpful and responsive. We would definitely recommend them to others and certainly would use them again in the future!

Excellent from start to finish. Saved about $3K off an Angie's list deal from another service provider. It was clear they were customer focused from the first phone call, and there was no waffling about price, etc. They came over promptly, measured and ordered the windows. They delivered on time, and did an excellent, clean install. There was one window that had a and quot;gapand quot; in the bottom of the frame. When I called, they came over within one hour and realized they had forgotten to pull down a sliding piece. Problem solved immediately. These are very professional window experts.

I recommend King Shade and Window. They worked with us from start to finish to make sure that we got the right windows that fit and functioned the way we expected. They located a local manufacturer that makes windows with diamond grills, and when I asked if I could see a sample of the casement window before proceeding with the order, even though they didn't have one in the store, they were able to get the manufacturer to supply one. They weren't at all difficult about this - they said it made perfect sense that someone would want to touch what they were buying before going ahead with a major purchase. When the windows arrived they were solid quality - well built and the design was as promised. Installation went smoothly - their installer was punctual, polite and clean. One of the casement screens did not fit flush to the window frame. George came out promptly to measure the window and re-ordered a new screen, which was installed a few weeks later. Melissa, who handles the phones and paperwork, was very pleasant and efficient. I like to do business with local merchants where possible, and I was very happy with the quality of product and service provided by King Shade for a reasonable price. I would definitely use them again for custom window replacement.

The very first call to King Shade and Windows I knew I had made the right decision before I met the owner George and his partner Mike. Talking to the secretary was a very pleasant experience and she was very helpful. When the owner George came to my house on a Saturday he was on time and came prepared to measure all three windows. He took the measurements and never once quote a price to me like New Pro and the other companies. He said he has to go back to the office and look the measurement and the procedure up before he can give me a price. He shook my hand and left when I got the price from his secretary I cried because he didn't try to take advantage of me or charge me a very high price. The same job New Pro and Andersen, and Champion were trying to pressure me into to give a deposit along with kept calling me trying to pressure me into

going with their company. I am so happy I didn't and did more research and found King Shade and Windows. at

This is the company you should have on your list that doesn't take advantage of customers. This was a new experience for me I'm a widow and I really didn't know that is why I joined Angies List.

When I called to schedule, II was told that there were customers in the store working with the designer and would it be ok if she called me back to get the details of what I was looking for. I said yes and my call was returned within the hour. After answering a few questions I scheduled for an in-home consultation. The man who came and did the measuring and showed me the fabrics was on time, very pleasant, and clearly knowledgeable about what they could offer and about working with my old windows. He made some suggestions and showed me fabrics, and I chose one I liked and was given an estimate. I was later called to confirm the estimate and to give a deposit. Since the shades were custom it took a few weeks for them to order the fabric and make them. I scheduled an installation date, but was having restoration work done on the windows that was running behind. King Shade and Window was very accommodating and worked around my needs to get the job done. The shades were installed by the owner, who was quite nice. They look great and are what we wanted. They were a bit pricey, but I had expected that since we got extras like room darkening, a very nice fabric, and pull chains for the shades. All in all a good experience and we will use them again for more of our windows.

They put in all kinds of shutters and installs them. They come out and advise you on the type of shutters they have and what would be best for you. Once you've made a decision, they come out to measure for free and asdvice on the sizing and placement. Then you make the contract and they install them for free. The visits and advise is all free, you only pay for the shutters

They provide a good selection and price for radiator covers.
They came on-time to measure, and I placed the order the same day, with a four-week lead time. Five weeks later, I hadn't heard anything, so called and left a voicemail (with my phone number). No response. A few days later, I emailed them, and got an immediate response. Melissa claimed to have called me twice (and left two voicemails), letting me know the cover was ready and they were ready to schedule a delivery time (I never received these calls or voicemails). They must have had the wrong number, but could have emailed me as well.
We scheduled delivery for a Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, I called to find out an approximate delivery time. They claimed that I wasn't even on their schedule. However, they were able to fit it in, and the delivery happened as planned. The person doing the delivery put the cover in place, and then slid it across our newly-refinished wood floors, leaving scratch marks. I mentioned this to him, and he didn't seem to care or notice. After he left, I also noticed two black scratch marks on our new (white) cover.
This is only one radiator cover, and understandably a small job for them, so I'm giving them a B. If it had been a larger job, it would be a C.
I try to support local businesses, but I wouldn't call this one again. They are very disorganized and have poor customer service.

After a horrible experience from a national chain with a pushy salesman who stayed at our house trying to get us to buy for almost 3 hours and quoted us around $8,000, we temporarily stopped shopping for the few replacement windows our old house still needed. Over a year later, we decided to just get a quote from this local shop that we passed all the time. It was a totally different experience-- quick, easy, not pushy, and literally thousands less.
When I wanted to see the actual product, I stopped into the shop and was able to get a better sense of what the window would look like. It looks nice and seem like all we would need. Acc. to my research, Harvey makes a good window at a much lower price than many manufacturers.
No issues with installation-- happened in one day. Three months later, I did just notice a small spot in one window's corner where there was a small gap in the caulk and a little draft was getting in, but it's not a big deal and I will either call them or fix it myself.

The company was prompt and professional, and the installation was excellent -- and the new storm windows are a vast improvement.

I called 3 different companies to come over and give me a quote. When I called King Shade and Window, the lady on the phone was very pleasant. I scheduled my appointment. George was punctual and very knowledgable about the windows that I wanted. I asked A LOT of questions and he had a response to all of them. He made suggestions about the screens, which I appreciated. The next day I received a quote but I wanted the other companies to come over and give me a quote too. In the end, we picked King Shade and Window, mainly because of the price. I was told it would take 4-5 weeks for the windows to be made (custom size) but after 3 weeks I received a call that the windows were in and they had 2 openings in the their calendar to come over and install them. Within 2 days, Mike and co-worker were over and installing the windows. Mike was very pleasant and professional. Three hours or so later I had brand new windows.

They are accountable and topprofessionals in their field; they provide good services and high-endproducts for a fair price (excellent Q/P ratio). I highly recommend them.

We chose them in large part because they are a small local business. They offered a good selection of premium brand shades and mid-priced alternatives, so we could mix and match. The business owner was the one that came to our home and did the initial measurement and selection work. Very nice guy! We had a very positive experience and would definitely use them again.

The process went smoothly. Paid 50% when ordered. Waited two weeks. Then paid in full after installation. Job done well. Prompt.

We spent $6000 on that work and we thought that it was good for what the product was. They are a local company and we prefer doing business in the neighborhood if we can. George was really great as well as Melissa, who is their office manager who seems to be running the show. We had some issues with one windows being the wrong thing, but they got it turned around in about 1.5 weeks. They got the right window and one of the guys got injured here while he was working here, so they couldn’t complete the work that day. They came back on a Saturday and completed it on a day that they wouldn’t work to take care of it. We thought that they were pretty efficient and so far the windows seem to be working and there are no leaks.
