We engaged VTP as the result of a recommendation from a local architect. We probably would not use them again, although we have no issues with the quality of work performed and they charged us exactly what they quoted. Initially, they provided the initial site surveys as requested, as promised and on budget. However, during the later phases of the work, they were not as helpful. We considered one of the engineers to be rude and unprofessional during one of the interactions at the project site. When we asked for a mortgage plot plan, we expected that this would be a no-charge item since they had already done the more complex site survey, but they charged us a small $150 fee for it without really explaining the cost for the service. The VTP representative did not show up when promised for the as-built survey, and delayed the construction project 3 to 4 days. At the end, they insisted on cash payment before releasing the report. This requirement was consistent with the agreement, but we had to scramble to get a check to them at the time their (delayed) report was finalized. We were prompt payers, and wish they had been a little more customer focused.
