About us
We are Piece By Piece Movers, a moving and storage company serving Boston area families for the past several years. Whether a move is complex or next door, a down-size or expansion, we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and will tailor our service to meet each individual client's needs. Piece By Piece is a professional company, passionate about customer satisfaction; a company doing extraordinary work EVERY TIME. You'll find professional, courteous, uniformed movers who respect the client and the client's belongings, and are sensitive to the owners, the property, neighbors, pets, and all those with whom they interact on moving day. All our employees are full time professional movers. Many of us originally began our careers at large reputable moving companies in the area, and have found its better to be a big fish in a small pond. Maintaining a core group of courteous and athletic movers allows us to focus on quality over quantity. Should you choose to engage our services you will quickly find that you are not just another number. Clients have 24 hour email access and the cell phone numbers of our office personnel. We pride ourselves on responsiveness and being communicative. While we are well suited to handle relocations of almost any scale, we do not have the massive overhead that some of our larger competitors maintain. This allows us to be a bit more cost-effective, often 10-20% less than our reputable competitors while still providing a premier level of service. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions whatsoever. We look forward to proving everything we claimed above on your next move.

"Hello, we are unable to locate any information regarding your account. It sounds as though you are a BU student involved in the COVID storage. For clarity, the UPS Store is the organization who oversees the BU student storage. PBP is merely one of the contractors for delivery. Meaning, only the UPS Store can address any of these concerns. BU student items were in care and custody of the UPS Store for storage and not in any of our facilities. We would appreciate you updating or clarifying your review."
"We apologize our claims process did not yield the outcome you were expecting. However, in an effort to provide context, our account of the events surrounding your claim are detailed below. After delivery of your shipment from storage, you had made us aware of moth concerns in one of your rugs. Our understanding is we were able to locate the "missing boxes" in question. Throughout our correspondences, the rug was the primary concern. Although we engage regular pest control services in our warehouse -this is the only instance of moth damage- we were open to working toward a fair resolution. A site visit with a rug specialist was arranged. When the tech arrived to inspect the rug, he relayed the rug was discovered laying outside unprotected. By the time the tech arrived it had been rained on, dirtied, and was submerged in a snowbank. This made it impossible to determine damage caused by pests since the rug had become irreparably damaged by the elements. What originally began as a repair had now become a full replacement. Based on the new damage to the rug, we asked that you foot the expense of having the rug cleaned before we could reassess for repair. The cost to clean was over $1700. You were unsatisfied with the proposed settlement and maintained we would have to replace the entire rug at full value. In further conversations, it became clear we could not agree on a reasonable solution. At that point, the claim was submitted to our insurer. Our insurer concluded we could not be found responsible and subsequently refused to pay out for the damages claimed. Please trust we do not like to hide behind fine print. Over a decade we have proven ourselves as a service-based business that cares about our clients, our reputation, and regularly goes above and beyond what is required or obligated of us. Sadly, the circumstances surrounding this claim made it difficult to reach a settlement you could accept. Sincerely, we thank you for your time and patronage and regret we could not leave you totally satisfied."
Overall, I would not recommend them. They did an average job for a higher amount than other companies would have.
