JN Phillips Auto Glass

Local branch never answered phone nor returned calls. Booked appointment on-line and got an immediate call. However, available times per website were not correct per rep.

It was done more quickly than anticipated. They were willing to come to where I was parked during a work week. But because of impending rainstorm it worked out better for me to go to them the next day.

I arranged via my insurance co to have JN Philips come to my home and replace my windshield. The earliest appt they had was 5/27 from 9-1 or so, a wait of about 4 business days. I did say when I booked it that I had to have my car by 3, and have been told it was in the job orders. After being tied to my house ALL DAY, the repair tech arrived about 1:50, and said he would not be able to do my car for 3:00; not even 3:15 if I rushed myself. This was disturbing. Then, in discussing the glass, he indicated that he did not have the correct glass for my car, that the headliner would likely show and he had not seen a windshield so big before. He said teh maker of the glass was ACS. I hoped when I provided the make and model of my car that the correct glass would be brought for installation. I told him after seeing reviews on replacement windshields that the Ford windshield carlite was the one that fit it. The car is only 6 mos old and I am entitled to mfg parts. He said what he brought would not work ,and whoever did the work would have to order from ford. I then spoke to a rep at JN in Acton, and made a complaint about my wasted day and asked to hear back from a manager. I received a voicemail message from STEVE, who said he was calling me back and because I asked for a different glass than what they had it had to be custom ordered, blaming me for the non-installed windshield. This was far from the truth. I expected them to arrive with the glass that FIT my car.I was already told they couldn't do the job for 3:00 pm when I asked about the windshield and the fit. The tech was clear it was made by ACS to me. I heard from the manager Steve again, today, and he claimed the tech had the ford carlite windshield in the truck all along and that it wasn't ACS glass that the tech had arrived with. So, somebody is lying, and I can't do business with someone I can't trust. It really makes it WORSE to have a manager state that the NON REPAIR was somehow my fault , or that when the tech arrived I asked for something different. This was not customer service.[Their phone staff was great though].

Install went very well, they were on time, did a great job - no issues what so ever.

Oops! My rear-view mirror fell off! My mechanic suggested I go to a windshield installer, so I just drove on over to JN Phillips.
When I explained my plight (no appointment, just dropped in) they sent someone out immediately to fix it. He quickly glued it into place, taped it to hold it securely and sent me on my way with instructions that I could remove the tape in a few hours. They would NOT give me a bill for this quick (but important) repair, and the serviceman refused a tip for his services. Six months later, the mirror is still holding fast!

Took awhile but was able to fix without having to replace any parts...

Service was convenient. Installation seems to have been done well. However, the new windshield has several defects (ripples or distortions).

Phone personnel were quite professional and made things easy for me. they contacted insurance, agreed a price, got authorization and set up the appointment all in minutes. the technician showed up on trime, did the work in my driveway, cleaned everything and -presto - I had a new windshield. Well done!

They were able to take care of it the day after I called and billed my insurance company. They even scraped my dump and inspections stickers off and replaced them on the new windshield.
