Came on time for a general estimate. Walked through the yard to give an overview; contractor wrote down all my requests; I also followed that up with a written list of my own and a diagram of my backyard. Contractor gave a rather high estimate on the spot (not in writing) which I agreed to. Sadly, this contractor does not keep paper records or provide written receipts to customers.
Work was performed within a few weeks (remember, this is weather dependent work, so be flexible). Unfortunately, I was not home at the time of their arrival. The landscaper skipped one of my main requests (trimming of two trees). The hired crew also cleared away a load of my fire wood, which we requested be left alone--and not be confused with brush. No doubt there was a language barrier between the head landscaper and the work crew. All-in-all, I would not have them return, even though the work that was done, was thorough and professional.
