Jason was responsive, gave us a few different options, and I believe that we got a great boiler installed by someone who knows how to install these boilers, which was very important to me. We are very happy with the 'triangle tube' system that he recommended, and our heating & hot water bill is now 25% of what it used to be.

Excellent from top to bottom. Quote came in $1,000 below others for same service. Very responsive. Stood behind his work and time commitments every step of the way.
Workers were courteous, neat and kind to have in our home for the many day install process.
There was a hiccup with the electrical after the install which he quickly sent someone to rectify at no added cost.
During install there was an unexpected toilet leak which he repaired at no extra cost since he was already here.
Highly recommended.  The process to convert from oil to gas was a stressful one at times with the multiple stages of the process. Many of the plumbers I'd called to get quotes simply didn't return calls or show up for scheduled times. Jason stood apart from the crowd on all levels.

My water heater died at 430 AM on New Years morning. I went online to Angie's List to find a reputable plumber. I called this company and made arrangements for them to come over the next day. The owner quoted me between 600-650 dollars this included the cost of a circulator pump. I also asked the plumber doing the job for an itemized bill. Initially the plumber used my new in the box aquastat and my NIB zone valve. Neither was deducted from the bill. Apparently he didn't think he needed to install the circulator pump but he thought it wasn't necessary to deduct that from the bill either. After he completed the work I had no hot water. Now I had already paid him 500 dollars cash and 100 dollars by check. He had to put in the pump and also had to leave to get a used relay from somewhere. He didn't get any more money from me. The work was done and works the way it should. The plumber was friendly and polite but the owner of the company should have been more involved. I wont be calling on this company again for future work.

They gave me a quick and accurate estimate.  They showed up on time, and
where extremely careful and clean throughout the process.
I would use them in the future for any heating, ac or plumbing problems.

I couldn't be happier with their service.  They were half the price of everyone else. They showed up early and finished 10 minutes early. They were so professional and I will be using them again.

I have been a contract customer with an oil company for the past 20 years. Since the oil tank was very old and inefficient,  I was going to replace it with a newer and efficient one with the same company; however, after the initial consultation with them, the company never sent me an estimate or brochures as promised.  So, I started shopping around to see if there were any other companies to do the work. After talking to frieinds, I was convinced to convert the heating system to gas and I am so glad I did it. I was instroduced to Mass Heating by Nationalgrid when I called them to get information on the conversion. Jim Ferris of Mass Heating responded right away and came to see me on the appointed day. He checked the entire house and picked the best furnace for the house. We set up the date and time of the installation. The crew came on time and worked on the installation for the new furnace, gas piping, and upgrade electrical wiring, pulled all necessary permits, etc. and the next day, their subcontractor came and removed the old oil tank. They cleaned up everything after the work was done. They finished the job on schedule.  I am very satisfied with the new heating system.

the old pump was sparking and overheating; a new one was needed with a few ducting out requirements. they arrived on time and finished within two hours. it was a relief to have the job accomplished without any problems, given that the house is over 150 years old.

Mass State Plumbing was one of two National Grid contractors I had give me estimates, along with one independant plumber. Everyone I dealt with at MSP was very professional and detailed. They came on time and measured the complete house; square footage of each room, # of windows and type, etc before providing their estimate. They explained all my options for equipment. When they removed the oil boiler and installed the gas boiler, they were very carefull to keep the basement clean. They co-ordinated the inspector and gas company. They completed the conversion in one and one half days. Their cost was reasonable.

I left a message with Mass State when they originally did not answer the phone. I assumed I would not get a call back but I did just 10 minutes later! They agreed to go out and replace my sump pump that very day. They arrived within 30 minutes of my call. The best part is that one of the guys had the same model pump at home and "jiggled" it and it sprung back to life!! They could have changed the pump and charged me $300 more but they didn't. I have a new plumber. I loved this company!

Called on saturday on emergency basis. They said they would be there in an hour and they were. The looked at every possible reason for leak before having to go through ceiling. The representative was prompt, answered all my questions, gave suggestions for possible future work and cleaned up everything before he left. The price was great for an emergency call on a weekend. I was told up front what the service charge would be and they stuck to that price. It has been over a week and the pipe has never leaked since the work was done.
