Davos Contracting

Davos was sent by Lowe's install. After installation storm door did not close properly. J-channel not attached to house. oak handrail and balusters not installed properly. Both handrail and storm door had to be removed as they were damaged beyond repair and new storm door and handrail with balusters installed by different contractor. Everything that they did had to be redone by different company. We will not be using Lowe's install again.

Home Depot arranged to have Davos install a new door that I purchased at the Watertown, MA store...Davos is one of their contractors. Although my experience with Home Depot was horrific (due to 5 doors arriving either damaged or having the wrong in-swing) I have nothing but great things to say about Davos. They were extremely professional and incredibly helpful in working the install around Home Depot's multiple screw-ups. The installer (Dave) did an amazing job and I would not hesitate to hire Davos again without dealing with Home Depot.

I ordered some doors from Home Depot and Davos Contracting performed the installation. They called promptly after the doors had come in to schedule an appointment. They had to cancel on the morning of the original appointment due to inclement weather, but were able to schedule for 5 days later which is not too bad. The 2 guys showed up right on time. They were very professional and polite. They always asked to use the bathroom and always said excuse me when they had a question while I was doing something else.
The installation went smoothly. They explained a few things about the doors and they followed my requests about the installation. Overall I am very happy with their work.

Their price included coming out and measuring before I ordered the door. They were very good. The two men who came out and installed the door did a very nice job and left everything nice and clean afterwards.
