Extremely happy with our new bathroom ( sink, toilet, tub and bead board covering the pink walls) almost three years ago. Last week my husband noticed a crack between the bolt and the bowl. I called Bath Fitters and told them what was wrong. I was connected to Laura who asked me a few questions and said she would get back to me. The next day she called to tell me that she had ordered a new bowl and tank and we made an appointment for installation. Two days later our new toilet was installed costing us nothing. This was such a nice experience... Laura was wonderful, the plumber was efficient and very neat. Even the first experience three years ago was excellent. Very happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone.
The serviceman that completed the work was so professional, and he just got down to work and kept going. Since we also got the wainscoting for the rest of the walls he needed two days. The shower was completed as promised in one day, and he made sure he cleaned up everything before leaving. Was back early and on time the 2nd day to finish the room. I wholeheartedly recommend these folks! The bathroom looks great and my husband and I totally love our walk in shower!
come back a second day to coordinate with the inspector. The removal of the old tub and prep work for installing the walk-in shower was done on the first day. They protected the hall and stairway carpets while they worked.
At the point of sale we were cost-itemized and charged for work/labor to get access from the tub to the vent pipe, and for an upgrade to a 2? drainpipe (current code), assuming with the age of the house this work was needed. When the actual job was done, our Town?s building inspector accepted the existing drain and venting as they were, so that work was not done, but our cost was not reduced. I seem to recall contigencies if extra work was required in the removal and prep, but they refused to budge on reducing the cost for work not done. They coordinated the inspection scheduling (which brought them to a 2nd day) then did not do the itemized work for which we had been charged, and we had no discount: we felt wronged. (I think the extra time for the second day was an unexpected labor cost for them).
The walk-in shower has been working well and is attractive. Overall their work is very good and everyone seemed to know what they were doing. I think if I did any future work with them, I would ask more questions about the initial quote (ask what if?s? solidifying contigencies) and about the scheduling of the work and inspections. Fortunately for us a 2nd day was not a problem, time-wise.
