About us

A set price for a repair such as door and window replacement or shoring up rotted beams and posts in an antique house. I do some masonry and painting keeping the subs you need to a minimum. I give separate prices for different jobs so that a list can be prioritized. I answer calls promptly and show up when agreed upon

The most expensive contractor I've ever hired. Did OK job but was pretty bad at cleaning up stuff afterwords. Not very responsive to phone calls. Have to leave messages all the time. Not easy to communicate with. You should definitely shop around instead of listening only to your realtor's recommendations!

This was a particularly complicated installation involving a non-standard house and very large double door. It was a difficult installation, but Doug doggedly completed it in spite of a number of technical obstacles. He was forced to solve problems on the fly as inconsistencies in construction became apparent. The door is now installed and has become the main entrance it was meant to be. One note about Doug. His quoted price is the final price. If it goes over time, the customer is not charged.
