From start to finish the project went very well. As with most any project of this size there were some hiccups but Dave was always upfront, transparent and communicative with us. There are hundreds of contractors in the area. If you are lucky enough to read this review you have found one of the better ones. Dave and his team renovated my kitchen. This project involved knocking down some walls, closing up a door, ripping everything down to the studs, and renovating the whole kitchen, along with an accompanying room. Dave came in under budget and two weeks ahead of schedule. Dave is honest, reliable, trustworthy, and an extremely nice guy who treats you as a friend as well as a client. The work was A+++, and I would recommend Dave to anyone who wants to renovate their home.

Our experience with Dave Neilson of Neilson Homes was fantastic. We purchased a new home that Dave was building, and were under contract early enough in the process that we had a 6 month long experience with Dave as he built the home and made many custom changes for us. It was an excellent experience, which I know from many friends and family who have worked with builders is NOT the norm! I think the most important thing about working with Dave Neilson is that he is genuinely and truly a nice, hardworking, and honest man. His personality and professionalism were apparent in every interaction, and he went above and beyond while building us our dream home. Even his electrician, plumber, and fence guy were nice! The finished product is an amazing home which we are excited to live in for many years to come. We would not hesitate to work with Dave again in the future, and are recommending him to everyone we know.

I've seen a lot of Dave's work - from smaller remodeling projects to whole new houses. He's very honest and diligent and does a great job. I've recommended him to several people - all of whom were very happy with the results.  I let him choose fixtures and tiles because he's really got good taste and a sense of what looks good with what.  He takes pride in his work and has really good subs.  I definitely recommend Dave.

Dave Neilson of Neilson Homes is terrific. He is a pleasure to work with and an excellent problem solver. We had a major flood in our finished basement that included a theater, game room, music room, workout room, hot tub, etc. Clearly it was a large project and all of his workers were professional, positive and easy to work with. Dave has also managed several other projects for me including a kitchen renovation and two baths. The quality of his work is excellent. He subs always leave a clean work space and he is always happy to consult about design ideas.
