Incredible! The design and communication surpassed my expectations!

MNS Construction is a gem of a business! They were a pleasure to work with on the renovation of my retail store. They completed the project on time and on budget. In addition, their communication was excellent, even providing me with some innovative solutions to maximize my space. I have continued to use them for small follow-up projects which has included electrical work, carpentry and painting and I continue to be very pleased with the quality of their work and their very fair pricing.

Jaret Stickney and his crew did a major remodel at our home in Brookline. This included removing walls to create an open plan kitchen/dining room; installing a complete new kitchen; demolishing a bathroom and creating two new bathrooms and closets. We found Jaret very easy to work with and he assisted with many design ideas. His crew were polite and professional. The project and a few punch list items did take a little longer than expected but were all resolved. Overall we were delighted with the results and would recommend MNS for your home remodeling projects.

We did a Major Kitchen Overhaul. Structural work removing load bearing walls. Opening up our Kitchen and remodeling the entire Space. Jay's team brought both design and construction expertise. Really partnering with us for the whole experience. He provided more than just construction services. He provided the advice and proficiency to help us be successful. Jay was personally responsive and attentive to every need and detail. His team did an exceptional job start to finish. We are very satisfied with the quality of work

Jay and his team did a fantastic job on my downstairs room. This job had a few complications including that the room contains an old fireplace, which at the end of the day we decided to simply block off. His team took care of the ceiling, wiring, stabilizing the floor which was very uneven. His electrical guy Lou was particularly great and set up some lovely dimmable LED lights. I wish I could have Jay do all the work for my house.

My wife and I converted our 1,500 squ feet Milton ranch to a 4,000+ squ feet colonial. This project was a huge undertaking for my family. Jay's dedication and knowledge made this possible. Originally we did not go with Jay as our contractor and regretted every moment. We gave another GC the job thinking we made a good decision. Unfortunately this was not the case. Our originally GC was a nightmare and had to fire him a few months into the project. Jay stepped right in and proved within hours he was the person for the job. He spent countless hours ensuring our home was to our expectations. He worked diligently with the Town of Milton ensuring all request by inspectors were met. He kept us on budget and provided us with recommendations throughout the project. Jay's knowledge and commitment made our dream home come true.

Jay and his crew are great. They completely finished an unfinished downstairs room, and turned it into the nicest bedroom in the house! Now all my kids are arguing over who gets that room, but that's a good problem to have. Jay was was great with his communication as the work proceeded, and worked with his insulation and electrician guys to make sure everything was done when promised.

These guys are prompt, efficient and trustworthy. Couldn’t have asked for a better team. I was very satisfied with the outcome of my project.

Summary: Immensely pleased with the interactions, progress and outcome of the work performed. 10/10 would hire again. Prior to coming across MNS, I had been conditioned to approach these kinds of relationships cautiously because I’ve experienced the less-than-glamorous sides of dealing with contractors I.e. opaque quotes/conjured estimates, delayed schedules, excuses, and of course, budgets going over for unexpected costs. My experience with MNS was refreshingly different. I needed 5 decks replaced on my 3 family property in Boston and reached out for quotes. I reached out to 13 “top tier” contractor firms, received responses from 10 and met 9 of them. Quotes were all over the map and while MNS didn’t come in at the lowest, it was their responsiveness, attention to the requests I had, their detail and lastly their professionalism. Easy going attitudes, yet professional; thorough but attentive to my needs; flexible yet realistic and most importantly, transparent and upfront about costs, options, and appropriately provide experience based recommendations. I never felt pressured but I always felt informed so I could make the decisions I needed to. Their delivered work was “top-notch” and even when I insisted on changing a requirement at the last minute, they adapted, gave me my options and costs and delivered (which I gladly paid for because it was my choice). Is it weird to say that I loved the experience and have found our go-to team for any construction work? Add them to the list of things like, favorite family dentist, favorite family store and now favorite family contractor. Being able to work with a team that does NOT leave you with a “I need to go take a shower” feeling after, is worth its weight in gold to me, especially when you’re making these kinds of investments. Awesome service, quality work, great team!

I have owned two houses in the metro west and done several renovations/additions/updates over the past 20 years. I am proud to support and promote MNS as the best contractor I have ever worked with. They are honest, reasonably priced, and actually care about the results. They won’t disappear like other contractors and I am comforted knowing I have built a relationship with someone I can trust for any future projects I may have. Last year we hired MNS to work on a basement renovation. And this past summer we hired them to add a sunroom and garage. The basement included a bathroom addition which had to be dug into the foundation as well as a second kitchenette for parties. They were able to blend in utility aspects and maximize my space! My family loves the new space. We hired MNS again for a sunroom/garage addition for our in-law apartment . The quality is outstanding and the ideas Jay brought forth helped change my original approach to be better than I could have imagined. They incorporated a custom bookshelf wall that adds an aspect to the room I never thought possible. In a previous addition they even created a hidden door walk in wine closet! The entrance overhang was also added as part of this project to create an outdoor space and improve the overall ascetics of the apartment. I am so impressed with MNS, I wish other service providers followed their example of honestly and quality. I have three kids so my house is never truly clean but I added some photos to highlight the results. Just ignore the clutter. :-)

Jay Marshall was an excellent general contractor and very easy to work with on the project. He was extremely responsive and physically spent time working on the project. He went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. The end project is gorgeous. The basement and bathroom finishes were of excellent quality. Tile work was especially ye catching.

The team was excellent from the beginning. One of the things I like is that they listen and are easy to get along with. Their prices were also extremely competitive and clearly they look out for you as I suggested some things to them, but they indicated the expense was not worth it. Also, each tradesperson takes on the same demeanor. There is no such thing as a stupid question and they were more than happy to go out of their way to make me happy. The results are to die for. I get compliments on the reno all the time. I would definitely hire again.

We had a rather large renovation/ upgrade to do in a finished working space. Apprehensive to let just anyone work in the area with the potential of damaging goods; John and Jaret assured me that their entire team would understand how sensitive of an environment they would be functioning in. End result: I could not be more pleased they finished on the day, on budget, with no lingering issues. they had buttoned up the work area so well it completely took the stress out of the equation and turned in to anticipation.

I find Gabe and his people to be very trustworthy. He makes sure that are good workers for us and he is very detail oriented.

They are a general contractor, and they manage subcontractors for me. They are courteous and professional. They know what they are talking about. These guys are very honest. Their prices are competitive and reasonable.

They have been great. They were on time.
