Russell Gates and his foreman, Ross Cigna, did a wonderful job, and the crew was very accommodating and worked very hard and were quite skilled. What was great about Ross, whom we worked with most closely, was his willingness to take extra care and to go all out on the project. He really tried to find out what we wanted and spent a lot of time and care with us. Both Russell and Ross wanted our house to look beautiful, and they succeeded. We ended up having them take over a lot of projects that we had been neglecting, and were extremely happy with what they did. Again, Ross was really good and careful at what he did, and went the extra mile. In addition to the original work, we asked them to stain our deck, redo our threshold, paint the house, and again Ross and his son were great. Then we decided to have Russell do landscaping for us, He changed the look of our yard, and was very knowledgeable about what to do about our hemlock trees that were looking very bedraggled. We are hiring them to do our landscape work from now on. We couldn't find good people to do work for us and now we feel that we have found people to help us take better care of our home.

They are great! They built a patio for us and did a full seating of the backyard and both projects came out on budget. They were professional and it looks great. It cost ten thousand dollars. They did this last summer. I rate them an 'A'. I would say their price is pretty good. They were just excellent. I would use them again in the future.

Snow plowing - we were consistently the last ones on the block to be plowed out. Not responsive - it seemed he wanted things his way and requests were not addressed. That would be ok if we weren't paying for premium service Landscaping - did a fine job. We felt the price was high for our very small front yard We found someone else eat end of last landscaping season

Lighthouse landscaping planned and executed a beautiful landscaping design which included removing old trees, adding new ones, rearranging existing planting to show them better and blend all the greenery together for a much more attractive front. The crew was especially neat, quiet and responsive all through the process. I'm looking forward to see the Spring look.

Russell Gates, who I presume is the proprietor, responded promptly to my emails regarding pricing and amount of snow removal. His responses were straightforward and easy to understand (which was certainly not the case for the person doing the work before him).
The first snow removal was of lower quality than expected - coverage and snow melt application were both insufficient. I emailed him and the issues were promptly rectified. A subsequent invoicing error was rectified promptly.
Overall, I have thus far found Lighthouse Landscape to be professional and businesslike in their approach, which is what I prefer. I'm very busy in my professional life, and strongly prefer being able to deal with issues quickly and by email so that I have more time to do my work and be with my family. In comparison to other firms this is a real strength at Lighthouse.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Lighthouse came last minute during a very busy time of year with fall clean-up to assist with a huge fallen branch and discovered many other dead and dangerous limbs at various heights in tress on my property. I was very grateful for the discovered dangers that loomed overhead and near where my family lives, plays and sleeps. 
The team were very professional and the cost was spot on with the estimate. For the amount and scope of work, not to mention the added comfort, I was extremely pleased with the cost and services provided. Certainly I will use them in the future and I highly recommend calling them (even if you don't "see" any dangerous trees/limbs).

Lighthouse helped us design and install a patio.  They showed up when they said and completed the work in a timely manner.  Russell worked with us to help us stay on budget and still get the finished product we wanted.  This is the second project we have used them for and we are very happy with the results on both.  We definitely would use them again.

They did a wonderful job plowing--even shoveled the walks and shoveled out the cars! Great service during the blizzard even though they were understandably very late. Once they came when there was very little snow and it would have melted quickly anyway. I wanted to use them for yard work too, but they never responded to several calls and e-mails.

After the blizzard, I came home on Sunday Feb. 10th around 1pm  to find that my driveway wasn't shoveled. When I called I was told that the men were tired and were taking some time but they would be there in 2 hours. Luckily my neighbor plowed a pathway with his snow blower so I could get into my garage. Since that didn't happen I called again and apologized for my emotional state but had just lost my son and not being able to get in my garage was upsetting. Russell called immediately and came in 10 minutes. Driveway was plowed and walk shoveled sloppily.  I received flowers the next day.  Told Russell I was disappointed especially since he told me when I hired him that he had 10 trucks on the road and I wouldn't have to worry.. During the last light storm he plowed my driveway just fine. I will use him again but if I have other problems I will find someone else. My driveway is very short and he is charging me $50 each time he plows which is at the top of the price range.
