Myexperience with Bill was excellent. He came and brought samples, gave the best advice for cost, size of windows look. Terry came about 4 weeks later and installed the blinds. Excellent advice, service and installation. They were just what I wanted and they look excellent.

From the in-house consultation, to the delivery and install, everything went extremely well .he blinds look fantastic and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

We selected a variety of window treatments, cafe shutters, Hunter Douglas Vignette's, top down/bottom up shades, Florida shades, and custom bamboo for our windows.  Bill gave us an expected arrival date, responded to all of my telephone calls, and all product came in on time.  The installer, Terri, called when the window treatments arrived, and schedule a date/time for installation.
Terri is an amazing installer, and the icing on the cake!  She arrived on time, was neat, professional, extremely competent, and a pleasure to have in our home.

Both Bill and Kerry were terrific.  They did a very professional job and I'm delighted with the results.  I highly recommend them!

I am totally satisfied with the wooden and vinyl blinds that are in my windows throughout the house.  The people who run this company are honest, know their business inside and out, and carry a very fine line of products.  I am totally satisfied and recommend them without qualification.

We had a kichen window treatment installed and three shutters in the family room. I didn't comparison shop so I can't really comment on the price.

Bill provided quick response and was very flexible for the initial consultation and measurement at our new condo.
He was honest and up front about price/performance options, and never pressured us to make any rush decisions. We ultimately went with cordless cellular shades, removing some additional features to save costs in our sun-filled but-now-seemingly-too-many-windows-to-dress condo.
He graciously came for a 2nd consultation to help us figure out the right light filtering capabilities that we desired. In our final checklist, we noticed that there was a missing measurement - without skipping a beat, he offered to drive across town to our soon to be occupied condo to perform the final measurement instead of scheduling another time, talk about friendly, above and beyond the call service!
After committing our order, he was responsive over email on timelines, scheduling and expectations. Delivery and installation came right on schedule, we received a call from his office, and Terry came on time and she rapidly did all the blind installs in just over 2 hours. With some instructions and recommendations due to the quirks of our window frames, we could not be happier with the quality and professionalism of the purchase and install.
We were a bit hesitant to commit such a large amount to window treatments, and did strongly consider "Big Box" offerings. Ultimately, thinking through the risks of our self install, trusting big box big-box contractors, and questionable longevity of the big box brands that we felt justified in paying the Budget Blinds premium. The peace of mind and flawless, seamless way they are a part of our windows now has melted all those initial cost worries away.

It was a very good experience.  Everything was the best.  They did a really great job for us.  They were under $150 cheaper than the other estimate we receive for a similar product. 

Every part of the experience was great. All of the windows in our (old) house are different sizes ... We bought five large shades and one very large (over five feet wide) covering a sliding door area. All of them look terrific and fit perfectly. We had been meaning to purchase shades of this kind for several years but were not sure about how to proceed. There are so many different variations in terms of material and cost and so forth. We found Bill Murphy on Angies list and are very glad we did. Bill Murphy made it really easy to decide what to select because he is so knowledgeable about the product. Everything he told us was 100% right.

Bill came to my home and helped me choose the best options for the windows treatments for several windows.  He was punctual, professional, patient, and relaxed.  The order came promptly and was installed very professionally.  They look wonderful.  I would definitely recommend this business.

The blinds were for a 3-bedrm two story apartment in an older residence (c. 1925).  Measurements were taken and the blinds were delivered and installed within approximately three weeks.  Mr Murphy did the measuring and his associate did the installation.  Care was taken to ensure proper placement of the cords for each blind to facilitate raising, lowering, and adjusting.  Also, great care was taken when the old blinds and fixtures were removed to minimize damage.

This was an extremely pleasant, professional, expert team who knew exactly what was required to provide and install attractive, good quality mini-blinds. They didn't rush, nor did they dawdle--they just went about the work at hand with efficiency and care.

I would use them again without hesitation, and I would recommend them to anyone who appreciates quality workmanship and efficient service.

My original call was to Bill Murphy. Even though he was on vacation, he called right  back and referred me to another Budget Blind franchise which serves my area. Terry Curtain was the person who came out and she was very helpful --- in selecting the actual style which better complemented the windows, the color and even the placement of the pulls.

She returned about 3.5 weeks later to install. They look great. (Of course, I can' predict how they will wear over the long term but so far so good). 

By the way, we had had an estimate from another local company. They would have charged us $600 more and the product seems to be equivalent.

I found Budget Blinds on Angie's List. They were excellent. I wanted cellular cordless blinds and they were able to sell those to me for a bow window. The salesperson came to my house, measured and showed me samples. The salesman was very nice and helpful. They were very professional and nice. They were responsive to calls. I was really impressed and would definitely use them again.

Alex Reveliotty of the Watertown Budget Blinds franchise provided a consultation on window treatments for my living room.  He quickly understood what I was looking for, as well as my budgetary constraints, and was able to steer me towards an excellent, economical product line that was perfect, both functionally and esthetically.  He was careful in his measurements, making slight adjustments for variations in the size of old, non-standard window frames.  Several weeks later, his installers worked quickly and carefully.   The only slight down point was that it took quite a long time to manufacture the order.  However, the final result was well worth the wait. It is now three years later. I'm preparing to move into a new office and will most certainly consider this company for my window treatments.

UPDATE in Aug. 2011:  The Watertown Budget Blinds franchise has been bought out by someone else.  My experience with the new owner was not in any way comparable to the excellent service I received from the previous owner.    I ended up not ordering from him due to unresponsiveness, failure to answer specific questions, and clearly a lack of interest in taking on a relatively small job with budgetary constraints.      

Working with Bill Murphy was easy and efficient. Price was fair and quality of the product is great! He was very patient and helpful while we were deciding on which product we would like to install in our home. My husband and I had just purchased our first home, and there were no window treatments in the entire house. We had to learn about different products and make a decision. Bill Murphy was fantastic throughout the process. We are now preparing to move to a new home, and I plan to call Bill at Budget Blinds to help us again.

It was fine. After a year we had a problem and they came and fixed it. We were pleased with them. They came and did what they were supposed to do. It is rare when people do that now a days.

Bill Murphy of Budget Blinds called promptly to set up a date to measure windows and provide an estimate. He arrived at my home on time and was fully prepared to show me all window treatment options. Bill completed the measurements and advised me on my selections. He sent me an estimate in a few days just as he said he would. To give me time to choose window blind colors he left me color samples at night and picked them up the next morning. That way, I could see the colors in daylight and evening light. The blinds arrived when Bill said they would. He set up a date and time to install them and on that date, Jennie came a few minutes early ready to install the blinds. She quickly and quietly completed the installation. Jennie also removed all packing materials when she left. Bill called a week later to be sure that I was pleased with the blinds, the installation and how they were working. Both Bill and Jennie were reliable and easy to work with. I highly recommend his company.

I liked that I worked with the owner. He came to my house to measure and show me samples. They installed all of the blinds in two hours and they left me extra parts for my blinds.

I was very happy with them. Everything was pleasant with no problems what so ever. They were in and out and they really knew what they were doing. I would recommend them to anyone because they made sure to answer all of our questions and were reasonable as well.

BILL IS GREAT. VERY EASY GOING BUT HELPFUL AND FULL OF IDEAS. FELT TOTALLY COMFORTABLE HAVING HIM IN MY HOUSE. HE PROVIDED GOOD ADVICE ON COLORS AND CERTAIN DESIGNS. HE ALSO FELT COMFORTABLE OFFERING HIS PERSONAL OPINION (WHICH IS MOST USEFUL WHEN YOU'RE DECORATING). BUDGET BLINDS WAS EVEN ABLE TO USE FABRIC THAT I SELECTED WHEN I COULDN'T FIND WHAT I WANTED IN THEIR OWN FABRIC SAMPLES. I'LL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
