Studs Remodeling

Jim and Sean ARE studs. Seriously! Respectful, courteous, and responsible. Jim and Sean show up to do work, when they say they will. And they work hard to complete the job. And while they clearly take pride in doing the job in the time-frame given...they don't let that take precedence over doing the job PROPERLY. They were extremely respectful of our space...going to great efforts to keep things as clean as possible at the end of every day. And even though I work from home, and my wife and 2 yr old were home a few days a week as well, they worked around us to keep the project moving, while not being overly obtrusive. Confident, yet modest and humble. Jim knows what he's doing, and what needs done. While he can tackle anything and surely do a great job, he knows when to call on a specialized sub to get it just right. Our crown moldings were really tricky. They were entirely enclosed in a space that wasn't the least bit square or plum in any corner!. Jim was up front saying that while he could do it, one wrong cut could spell trouble. So he brought in his expert crown guy to get it done accurately. I was always very appreciative of how up front and honest Jim was. Patient. Jim was always excellent about giving us a good heads up when we would have to make decisions and choices. When subs came to handle painting or electrical, we were always given plenty of advanced notice on any related decisions we'd have to make. But often, until something is done, you can't know exactly how it will look. Jim was very patient and went to great lengths to make sure we were happy...even when that meant having to re-stain some trim that was already set to go up. We decided the day before he was going to install, that we just weren't happy with how well it coordinated with existing trim in the house. And Jim was very good about helping us pick out what turned out to be the perfect stain color and getting all new trim ready to still go in the next day. We were thrilled. I will absolutely call on Studs again for my next project. Whether it's an addition, new construction, or just some handy work I don't have time to tackle. I feel relieved just knowing I've found a great contractor I can count on and trust.

I called Studs Remodeling and explained what I was looking to have done. Both Jim and Sean were at my house within a couple of days to provide a quote. Within a couple of days, they had provided additional information on the door selection - they picked out a door they felt would look good with the house. They came and began working, making sure everything was square (my previous contractor had botched the job, and neglected to correctly repair the sill). One item that needed to happen that was additional was the removal of the cement step/slab in front of the door. This was needed to properly install the door and prevent any damage from the foundation area. Jim works with many subcontractors and the ones he had do the cement work were awesome as well. The door does look very nice, as does the entryway. I am looking forward to remodeling my kitchen next, and will definitely use Studs Remodeling. Jim has a very keen eye for detail and vision for the finished product.

and quot;The Studsand quot; offered thoughtful advice on replacing appliances in the most cost efficient manner. They measured, made recommendations, researched the appliances, and worked out a package with a local appliance store. They scheduled the day to do the replacement. They came on that day on time. They took care of disconnecting all of the appliances and even scheduled for the old appliances to be picked up and donated to a charity. They then carefully installed all of the new appliances. They came fully prepared for any contingencies as the microwave installation required them to cut existing tile for a proper fit. They even installed new pendant lighting for me which I hadn't planned on. They checked in with us a few days later to see that everything worked and looked good….which it did. They were friendly, courteous, and efficient. We are planning a bath remodel in the future and wouldn't hesitate to use them again!
