Great. This is the only power equipment shop I go to for purchases and repairs - 52" Ferris deck mower, Troy-Bilt snowblower, Husqvarna trimmer, backpack blower and chainsaw, Bachtold, and so on, all purchased from, and serviced by, Wayland Power. I use them for chainsaw chain sharpening as well. For the past 25 years, I've always had great experiences with Wayland Power and I tell all of my friends to take their business there.

Mad as ****, these guys are crooks. My lawnmower wouldn't start this spring though it was only 2 years old. I expected some carburetor cleaner would get it going. Front desk man, Bill, said they'd have a look for a $30 deposit. Bill told me, worst case, a new carburetor would cost an additional $50. They were supposed to call back with the diagnosis, but never did. When I called them, they said it needed a replacement carburetor kit but (now that they had my deposit) that the price was $135, almost double his initial estimate. I decided to go ahead. When I tested it after the repair work, I noted it started, but didn't run smoothly, the engine "hunted'. Their guy said this was "normal". (He also said they didn't readjust the mower’s height level, which was false). First time I mowed my lawn, the lawnmower stopped midway through the job (still with 1/4 tank of gas) and wouldn't restart for 15 minutes. Not a good sign. And this is only ½ the story about their deception and incompetence.

$225
I was not happy about having to spend $225 replacing a carb on my 14 month old machine but after hearing the prognosis and researching it on the web and further confirming that bad gas is an increasingly frequent problem in today's small engine carburetors I was satisfied that the work had to be done. When I went back to talk pricing the tech told me it would be between $50 and $125 for a new carburetor, $98 labor charge and $52 to pick up and drop off my machine. When all was said and done they kept to that quote. The carb was $68.
I also had a great discussion with the tech about how to stabilize and cycle gas in small engines. I also learned the difference between small engine oil and car engine oil (just because they are both 5W-30 does not mean they are the same). So all
in all a great experience.
My only complaint was that they charge $52 for pickup no matter the distance. Since I literally live 6 blocks away I was not happy to have to pay that much...but it's great to have my machine back and working...and they returned my old carburetor as well.
Not only would I use them again but I will get my yard machines in to them for more regular servicing!

I purchased lawn mowers and snow blowers from them and got it serviced. I had things that I haven't bought from them but had them fix it, and had a new motor put in years ago in all the snow blowers and gave another 8 - 9 years of life left in it. I go there for parts for the machine and I never had an issue with them. At one time, I had purchased a snow blower from them and then I went back as there was an issue and they had a look at it and fixed a new charge, they put some new running blades on it, which makes it easier to run and they gave it to me at a cost which was nice. There was another issue with something and they fixed that too. They actually didn't charge me the $50 for the heavy equipment pickup and delivery charges because it was a repeat visit. They were more than reasonable and are pretty good. They fixed everything and everything is working fine and it is all good. I would go back to them and use them in the future.

We've used Wayland Power Equipment numerous times for repair/tune-ups of our lawn mower and weedeater. They've got a great pick-up and drop-off service. Their tune-ups are about $125 - a little pricey in my book, but they're very responsive and the pick-up service is really convenient. Worth the price.

I have used them for years and they are always great. They are done with the equipment as soon as possible and never lag to bring it back. They are professional and very knowledgeable as well. Overall, I am pleased with all of my experiences with them.

Not only was the problem NOT repaired (came back to us after 17 days; would run at 1/2 speed; stopped working again after 10-15 minutes of use), but charged us $24 for a warranty repair that Toro said would be 100% covered under warranty and that the dealer should not have charged us for.
