Emilio (Watertown Landscaping) was very responsive when I reached out about my project. He visited my site and immediately understood what we wanted to do and how to do it. He provided a reasonable quote which I agreed to and we scheduled the job. He kept in touch re: the exact start date and the job took three days. His employees were very friendly (and hard working). The job turned out great, we're very happy.

The project went very well. Emilio come up with some very creative solutions to take advantage of pre-existing rock formations to make some of the needed stairs.

We are beyond happy with Watertown Landscaping's work. They transformed our small patch of land to have incredible curb appeal plus a private patio area. They designed with the character of the house and neighborhood in mind so the rock wall and gardens looks natural and like they have always been here. The work was done on time and in budget. The team members who completed the work took great care with the features of the yard we wanted to keep, cleaned up daily and worked very hard to be efficient but thorough. We chose them without prior knowledge of their company - they were the middle quote of the three we received, provided good references and had a local knowledge and personal touch that we appreciated.

The team at Watertown landscaping always does an exceptional job- over the past 2 years they have regraded my lawn to fix a water issue, installed a slot drain and patio drainage system, installed drainage and a dry well for my sump pump output, and now replaced a paver driveway after excavating underneath to remove all the roots that had damaged the prior driveway. They are hard working, dependable, and fair. I hope that I don't need more of this type of work done anytime soon, but if I do, they are the ones I will call.

Horrible. Never trust these guys. They put in a bunch of plants which looked nice but a number of them did not survive the year. When we called about this we never got a reply. In fact the owner Emilio acted as if he had never heard of us. Bad communication - just all-around bad

Emilio and his crew were fantastic. Punctual, polite, hard-working, and swift! Our new patio looks fantastic, and the addition of a dry well underneath the patio has fixed the minor basement flooding we were having. If you need landscaping, patio, or water drainage work done, Emilio’s the right choice!

Emilio is the man and is now our go-to guy. We had a new baby due a few months out and Emilio promised me he’d get the job done before the baby was born so we could get our fence put up around the perimeter of the yard. I neurotically checked in with him through the winter checking on the timing and double checking we were all set. Emilio always assured me that we were all set and as soon as the weather was right, the job would be done. He followed through and got it done sooner than we thought. His pricing was reasonable which made me feel comfortable and like he was trustworthy from the start. That turned out to be very true. He’s honest and he and his crew care about the job getting done well and on time. Lastly, we were in a bit of a bind with some other work we needed done and Emilio made a call to a friend for us — he came through in a big way for us and he didn’t need to do that. He’s just a good guy and who doesn’t want to give business to someone like that? We are so happy we chose Watertown Landscaping!

Fantastic! Emilio's team completely transformed the side of our house from wasted space into an outdoor area that we enjoy spending time in. The work involved bringing down two trees, one which was very large and had roots that went deep underground. Emilio brought in and operated the backhoe that would ultimately clear the area and make it ready for the work. Emilio coordinated the work involving his team, the electrician and the sprinkler service. They worked efficiently, and were able to take a basic sketch of a design and turn it into a beautiful patio. What sets Emilio apart relative to other contractors is his desire to deliver a project at a high level of quality - he took pride in the work and the outcome. We are super happy with the outcome and the way it all turned out.

It seems all too often we hear stories of experiences with different companies when a job isn’t done properly, or perhaps doesn’t meet someone’s expectations. When it comes to Watertown Landscaping, not only was the job done properly, on time and on budget, but it was also delivered with a degree of professionalism and exceptional hands on service that sometimes seems to be a thing of the past Watertown landscaping is owned an operated by Emilio and Maria Coppola and what can only be described as a top notch, second to none, crew of staff as well. My wife and I were looking to get an area in the back resurfaced with pavers, to park a car in a deeded patch of dirt, as well as extending the pavers to provide some patio space to our very small backyard. All in all approximately 35 feet by 12 feet. After an initial consult at our property Mr. Coppola explained the different options and actually recommended the least expensive versions noting that the majority of the pavers would have a car parked over them.They provided everything we needed to make an educated decision. He promised a quote within a week and said if time was not a concern we could probably save some money too. This was in early June and we explained we hoped to have the job completed by Halloween, in time for this coming winter. Shortly after our initial consult, as promised a quote arrived via email from his wife, which we thought was fair, more than reasonable, competitive and within our budget. They are licensed, bonded and fully insured too From a service perspective, we couldn't be happier. We were kept in the loop throughout the summer with an occasional email that we could expect the job to be done by Labor day and if there was a particular time or days that worked better than others they would be able to accommodate if we provided some different dates? Our response was, anytime that works for you, just let us know and we will make sure the car isn’t parked in back. I’m an under promise over deliver kind of person so this was a breath of fresh air to me. Going out of their way to check in and see when convenient for us, was indeed a nice touch that didn’t go unnoticed. As for the actual work, Watertown landscape shined here as well. As promised, last Monday night Mr. Coppola pulled up in a large truck and dropped off a very small backhoe/loader. Tuesday morning a crew of 3 very polite men were in the space, digging up the area a few inches deep, smoothing it out and making certain it was level, laying string that would be the pattern of the pavers. Mr. Coppola came by throughout the day checking on every little detail. On Wednesday AM they returned to lay the pavers. What resulted was a work of art. In two days a patch of dirt that turned to mud when it rained was transformed into an eye pleasing surface, with reddish/terra cotta pavers that matched the shutters on our home and a gray outline pavers to give it some detail/contrast, matching the pain on the bulkhead door. Our neighbors who abut the back of the house called last night to thank us as they too didn’t like seeing the mud run off into the street every time it rained. Everyone’s happy! After a detailed consultation with Mr. Coppola I received a fair estimate and the work was completed within three weeks. The work was done carefully and professionally. The front lawn looks wonderful and the sprinkler system is up and running very nicely. Mr. Coppola and his crew clearly care about doing good work and I really appreciate the attention to detail and personal attention he gave to the job.

John designed a new walk way for our front yard. The work was completed in one day and is just what we wanted. We used Watertown Landscaping previously for a much bigger project in our back yard and were very pleased with the design and completed project.

We had an extremely positive experience with Emilio Coppola. He came out to the house twice, consulted with my wife and I about what we hoped to accomplish, shared some valuable insights and ideas about how to implement our vision, and responded quickly with estimates after each visit. His pricing compared favorably with other estimates we had received. Emilio could not have made the entire process any easier. He was friendly and accommodating, started when he said he was going to start, and touched base with us during the project to make sure we were happy with the work. We were thrilled with the finished product (the workmanship was excellent) and we would gladly work with Emilio and his crew again. We would also not hesitate to refer him to anyone else.

Emilio and John did a fantastic job with our property in Lexington. We booked them over the winter to ensure we would get them for the Spring season and Emilio was very prompt with getting us on the schedule. He was extremely thorough and patient with us while we picked out plants with his team so that we knew what was going to be installed. All the guys he has on staff are outstanding, hard workers and very respectful. The job took about 5 full days - small yard but intricate design with lots of new plantings and two trees. The whole process went great. Emilio was friendly, responsive, and helped us figure out what curbing would work best along our sidewalk. He started the work less than a week after we agreed to a contract, and the job was completed in the time he said it would (5 days). Emilio's team were quick, professional, and overall did a terrific job. We had a few small punch list items at the end of the job, and Emilio came out and took care of them the same day. Overall, we were very pleased with the work, and would hire Watertown Landscaping for future projects.

I left a message requesting an estimate, and a few hours later, I received a call back from Maria.  Maria was extremely professional, a pleasure to speak with.  She told me Emilio, the owner, could come by the house in 2 days at 8 AM to provide an estimate for the work we wanted done.  2 Days later, at 8 AM sharp, Emilio was at my door to discuss the work.  I described the work we wanted performed and showed Emilio some photos of the style of paver, walkway and rear patio we envisioned.  Emilio also gave me a couple of idea that we could incorporate and described in detail the work his crew would perform and the length of time it would take.  Within 48 hours, Emilio emailed me the quote, which was less than ones from other contractors.  Based on their responsiveness, professionalism and price, we went ahead and booked the work to be completed. 

We had scheduled the work for the end of the following week; however, they had a delay on another project.  Emilio emailed me Tuesday morning, September 8 asking if they could start the work early due to the other project delay.  I gave them the go ahead, and within an hour, Emilio and the crew were at our house removing the existing walkway.  When I returned home that day, we had a beautiful new paver walkway and the backyard patio extension area was dug.  The following day, the crew came and completed the backyard patio.  Both the Walkway and Patio are perfect.  It is exactly as Emilio and I had discussed and no detail went unnoticed.  Many neighbors on our street have come by to comment on how well done and nice the front walkway is. 

I'm extremely happy with the work of Watertown Landscaping.  They are a local family owned business that provides service and work second to none.  We are grateful for the work they did and highly recommend them.

I had researched landscapers extensively and booked a few to give me estimates: a few did, some never got back to me, one quoted 100k. I finally narrowed it down to one company (the #1 company on AL). Price was good and the work description was spot on. Unfortunately, soon after I got the estimate, I had to go in for surgery and could not follow up on scheduling until a few weeks later. By that time, they were booking into September (we talked early May).

Desperate, I made a few more calls and Maria Coppola from Watertown Landscaping followed up. One of their projects had fallen through, so they were able to accommodate us. Emilio Coppola, the owner, came in the very next day and met with my husband and I. He had an estimate for us in 48 hours (matched the quote of the #1 company!) and started work shortly thereafter. 

If you need any landscaping construction work done, THIS is the company to call. Watching them work is like watching an artist: the eye for detail, the perfectionism to get everything right. The main masons - Ivan and Juan - were incredible. And because they are a family-owned business, they were never rushed, took their time, and patiently explained to us the details of the work they were doing. The removal of a big tree took longer than expected, but they took it right in stride. Same for the concrete surround of the bulkhead doors in the back. Not part of the original estimate, but they removed the old concrete and put in a new wall. Again, no questions asked. Because of the extra work, they could have easily charged us more. But they didn't. Emilio, who came in every few days - usually with a cigar in his mouth - chalked it up to it being an old house. "Stuff happens, you know!" he said. 

A drab, shady, never-used backyard has been transformed into a peaceful, beautiful, additional family living space, complete with a basketball hoop for my son. Watertown Landscaping came through on every point: price, professionalism, punctuality. We could not ask for more and are forever grateful to Emilio, Ivan, Juan, and the rest of the crew for their work.
