We called MetroWest Water Gardens, and they proposed a plan to destroy the old pond, and replace it with a manageable, smaller pond with a stream. They were courteous, and put in a pond that is absolutely gorgeous. The best part is that it is a true living ecosystem, and we no longer have the recurring algae problem. We now have fish, plants and a beautiful addition to our newly landscaped backyard.
They are great and I highly recommend them!
Highly recommend them if you are considering putting in a watergarden/pond/waterfall and they are great on fall and spring pond care and cleanout. Careful if you have fish & frogs. They empty and power wash our garden in the spring and we look out on a crystal clear pond thanks to them. Also helpful with pond relates questions and they put out a helpful newsletter to customers on pond care through the seasons.
