"On behalf of the Metro West team, thank you for your review! Gilda"
"On behalf of Metro West Home Repairs, I would like to thank you for your review of our work. We were happy to have the opportunity to do this job for you and look forward to a next project, should the need arise. Thanks and be well, Gilda"
First of all, they provided a detailed estimate, with more information than other written estimates we received. Helps to back up the total number.
When you open something up on an old house like this, you never know what you'll find. We're used to it. So of course, they opened up the garage roof and found all kinds of rot, and also an earlier roof the shingles of which had been "stored," shall we say, inside the newer roof. So, the project was more complicated than originally estimated. I liked that they a) communicated this immediately, b) showed me the rot, c) took pictures and emailed them, and even more than all of these, d) carefully worked the project to save some money for us - they made appropriate compromises here and there. We communicated with each other clearly about the balance between doing things right, respecting the fact that we own an antique house, but also being careful with money, we aren't wealthy. Gregorio understands this. We wanted to do part of the work ourselves, to save $. He cooperated with us on that too, even giving advice on materials.
Work was started when they said they would start. Respected the expectations/needs of other clients also. Started our project, did the part that could be considered urgent, then said, we're going to finish this other thing now, we'll be back in 2-3 weeks. Now, sometimes you hear that from a contractor and you know you won't see them again for quite a while. In this case... they were back in 2-3 weeks, exactly what they said. In fact, every time Gregorio said he would do something, he did. If he didn't do it exactly *when* he first said, he communicated about that, and the delay was a small reasonable understandable one, not one of these did-the-guy-drop-off-the-face-of-the-earth type delays.
All work was done with excellent quality. All work cleaned up very nicely every day. When a piece of the project was complex and Gregorio felt that he personally needed to be there, he was. When he had his employees do the work on their own, they were great: consistent workers, friendly, careful, discussing how to keep kids safe, etc.
All in all, a great experience. We'd absolutely hire this company again.
"[Member Name Removed], I and my team are humbled by your kind words. We strive to provide customer-oriented service, timeliness and value for money, and it helps to know when we meet those standards. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our work."
