Renaldo came out on a Sunday to see our problem and give us ideas on what he would recommend to repair our crumbling cement landings. In a week, we received his quote in the mail. We signed the contract and agreed to have the work done in Sept. Renaldo did not perform the work and said that we would have to wait until next year. We decided to look for someone else. In 2006, Renaldo called and said that he was sorry that he could not get to us, but he would be starting our work in April 2006. Renaldo and crew removed the old cement, made forms out of wood, suspended my metal railing so it would not get damaged, and had 2 granite treads delivered. After the granite treads were put into place, the cement truck arrived, and the cement was poured. The job was completed on time, and Renaldo and his helper cleaned and removed any debris. Renaldo replaced mortar between my blue stone threads in the back of the condo, repaired a blue stone tread, and refused to take any additional money.

The work was great. Scheduling was a bit difficult due to weather and availability. The old chimneys were in really bad shape, so a lot of debris came down the chimney. Reynaldo even cleared out the debris from the bottom of the chimney after it got blocked.

REYNALDO WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TRACK DOWN. HE ONLY RETURNED CALLS WHEN WE WERE PERSISTENT, AND HE FREQUENTLY DID NOT SHOW FOR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS WITHOUT A PHONE CALL. WHEN WE WOULD FINALLY CONTACT HIM, THERE WOULD BE A WIDE RANGE OF EXCUSES. WHEN HE FINALLY DID SHOW UP TO DO THE JOB, HE WAS RARELY ON-SITE, BUT RATHER HAD HIS HIRED HANDS DO ALL OF THE WORK. THE WORK ITSELF WAS FAIRLY NEAT, BUT ULTIMATELY OUR BASEMENT CONTINUES TO LEAK AFTER A HEAVY RAIN. WE ARE NOW TRYING TO GET REYNALDO TO MAKE GOOD ON HIS WORK. HE DID NOT SHOW FOR AN APPOINTMENT ON 4/9 AND DID NOT CALL. OUR INTENTION IS TO GET HIM TO REPAIR HIS WORK AND THEN NEVER TO CONTACT HIM AGAIN.
