Excellent work. Looks like it did when it was put in a century ago. As a bonus several small leaks disappeared. Will be rebuilding a partially collapsed small brick wall when weather allows.

Picture perfect: my neighbors have all been complementing me on the quality of the work. They performed the work with a minimum of disruption. No unexpected charges.

Front walk was old and heaved-up by tree roots. De Angelis masons disposed of all old pieces, dug out roots, and replaced entire walk (approx 4' x 9') with pavers. Worked through several standard paver designs; finally customized one that would fit this narrow space. Estimated 1.5 days but finished job in 1 day; walk has been stable through 2014-2015 winter. Also patched a couple of holes in old concrete steps.
Cut through ~3'-high brick wall separating back walk from yard; covered cut surfaces and set bluestone threshold to keep yard in place. Came back a day later to retrieve tarp (needed on cut surfaces so they would cure) instead of making us dispose of it.
Not cheap, but very high quality work. Will certainly go to them for any other masonry needs.

Franco did one large job and two minor ones for us as part of the same project. I could not be more delighted. He is a true craftsman and a creative problem solver. He shored up the crumbling stone staircase and covered it all in a beautiful bluestone. We appreciated his clear explanations of possible options, the timetable, and an excellent price. Highest recommendation.

Rob returned our call within a day, and came to our home to examine the project. He made suggestions to improve the support.
We scheduled a day for work to be done and he arrived early, and completed the work in one day.. His stone work looks much better than what he replaced. Rob is a professional and very courteous. We are very pleased with his work and would definitly hire him again.

Showed up on time went to work and did an excellent job. Replaced slate walk with thick bluestone, and it looks great. They had to remove the old walk and base to get the job done right. But these guys are real masons, they knew what they were doing.

I called. Rob came out to look at where we wanted the wall and sent us an estimate. We scheduled the work for several months later, for mid-summer. When the date was coming up, we talked. He started as planned. We added a little bit, and everything was completed in fine form. I believe he had a second stonemason with him for part of the project.

De Angelis did the best masonry work I've ever seen. He is outstanding. He was in constant communication with us about the job. He was also always on time. The whole operation was great.

I had used Franco for a previous project on a different house, and he had done excellent work. The only downsides are:
1. they get very busy so you need to schedule them several months in advance
2. they don't do email or even have a website, you have to do everything by phone
I called them for an estimate for this work, which we knew was going to be quite involved, and scheduled an appointment to look at the job the next week. We discussed how to put up the tall scaffolding necessary with minimal cost to me and impact to our neighbors. I received the estimate in the mail within a few days, then called and we discussed.
They came out exactly when we scheduled for it to happen, and spent about a week doing the work, including modifying the work to repair additional damage they found.
They were very careful about matching the style of brick on our house, and the results look great.

I had a stone retaining wall that looked like it was about to fall over.
I got three bids. Two were for $3000; Mr. De Angelis said only half the
wall was in danger, and bid $600 to fix the rest of it. He did a very
nice job. He seems honest to a fault, and I would use him again, and recommend him without reservation.

The project went very well, especially since a lot of the front of the house was affected. I'm over a year in getting this review onto Angie's List, but at least can say that the work has held up beautifully & we recently hired them again to do another, smaller job. The step rebuild was done at the beginning of May 2011, and it still amazes me that the patch of spring flowers right next to all this work came through fine. They are very careful and cleaned up everything.

This was a one-day job, done with care and minimum impact to the landscaping. We were very happy with the complete clean-up and the good-looking result..

After contacting nine masons, some of whom never submitted estimates, I ended up with DeAngelis & Sons. They were not the lowest estimate, but were significantly below the highest one. They were one of the few masons who submitted a written estimate.
Franco DeAngelis was a pleasure to deal with (and I rarely say that about any contractor). He could see why the pavers were heaving, whereas other masons who came had to be told the likely cause. He was smart, thorough, and careful. (He knew not to have the cement truck come up the driveway for fear that its weight would dent the asphalt, and cleverly created an awning out of plastic to keep water off the newly layed concrete.)
His brother, a partner in the business, went out of his way to fix some other pavers when all he really was asked to do was to replace three individual bricks.
The only downside was that Franco was not here on the third day of the two-and-three-quarter day job. I had to refresh the other mason's memory several times about some of the remaining spots that need remortaring.
I absolutely would have Franco back in a heartbeat.

They did a great job and I have had no problems with it. I spent $1800 on that work. They knew what they were doing. Once the plans were made, they did what they were supposed to do. They had a portfolio of all the work that they had done. It takes a while to get the work done, but it has been worthwhile.

Mr Deangelis was very prompt and professional in all of my interactions. He took the time to explain and advise me on the options and his approach to solving problems. I would recommended his work to my friends and colleagues.

Franco and his guys did a great job. They were very straightforward, thoughtful and did exactly what they said they would do. Others were quoting the job for multiple days...Franco did it in a day with a little bit of clean-up the second day. I pointed out a little spot on our foundation that had been shoddily patched where a oil tank used to be - he fixed that as well as some other little nicks in our foundation for free. I would highly recommend Franco and even though I hope we don't need more masonry work, if we did, I would call him.

Franco did an excellent job. He took as long as he said he would, he kept a clean work site, he was professional and polite, and we were impressed with the look of the repaired garage. It turned out great. We expect to use Franco for other masonry work needed by our association.
