I heat my house with a wood stove and the coldest day in February, I saw my single wall pipe was rusty and sparks flying through these tiny holes. My previous chimney guy did not suggest double wall piping, I did not even know if was available. The owner ( I love supporting family owned businesses) Dan and his Dad showed up within hours. I was so grateful they showed up that day. They did a complete inspection to assure I was safe. They made recommendations on how to keep the stove safe, they ordered a stainless steel vent to prevent air going up the chimney. They put in a temporary steel pipe to get so I could light fires and ordered custom a duravent double wall piping. Ryan, what a great employee, really put me at ease. He showed a couple days later with custom parts He installed the stainless steel vent, and the double wall pipe. Before he left he started a fire so I felt safe. Both visits they rolled down a paper carpet they brought as to leave no trails, they even wore booties. I highly recommend Advanced Chimney. I am so glad to have found a chimney company I can trust. Great Great company employees on time very friendly and knowledgeable had my chimney cleaned and they ran runners and blankets kept home clean. Also they recommended some things to fix on the chimney which I will definitely have them back to do

The initial inspection seemed to go well. Dan was late but called from his phone letting us know. He seemed knowledgeable and pleasant. Because of this first experience, our overall rating is D rather than F. Then, he provided us with an estimate of work he said needed to be done, which would cost several thousand dollars. We knew our chimney needed some work, so we were open to that. However, we needed it formalized with a signed contract to protect all involved. Contractors who have done significant work on our house have always provided us with a contract. Also, one of us has worked in construction for 30 years and has never seen a project without a contract. Despite our emailed request for a written contract, Dan refused to produce one and instead "required" via email that we work off his unsigned estimate of the project, including our signing a copy of his unsigned estimate and mailing it to him with a sizable deposit. We still have the emails. This made us feel uncomfortable and uneasy. When we called him, using a phone number he had used to call us and that is on his website, to explain why a contract was needed, he refused to come to the phone. We left a message with the person who answered the phone, but Dan never called us back. This is unfortunate. Advance Chimney could have had business from us, our friends, and our coworkers. However, after we told our friends, coworkers, and contractors about our experience, their reactions and comments convinced us we dodged a bullet. Also, although we are more than willing to pay good money for needed work, another professional who looked at our chimney told us it needs much less work than we had been given to believe.

Here at Advance Chimney, we strive to provide top-notch customer service and quality work, in all areas of our business. Our customers are our number one priority. We do our best to get back to all of our clients by returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner, during normal business hours. Our office hours are Monday- Saturday from 8AM-6PM, there is someone who answers the phone, always! during hours of operation and is able to help answer any questions or concerns. I am not sure where the disconnect happened? I understand, you're unhappy with us for not getting back to you as quickly as you had hoped for. We apologize for the delay. We're currently in our busiest time of our season and we're working 7 days a week, trying to accommodate our customers as best as possible. Having 16+ years of experience in the chimney/construction field, I would not recommend any unnecessary work. I stand by my work and what I recommend. The quote you were provided with was fair and appropriate for the repairs your chimney needs. The deposit amount we ask for is a 30% on the total work, upon scheduling. (Which you were not yet scheduled, due to other work you were having done by another contractor, we were waiting on them to coordinate for the same date) We had no issue providing you with a contract/signed contract. In fact, we require signed contracts for most of the work we recommend. Again, not sure where the disconnect occurred. We'd like to rectify this situation if at all possible. But understand if it is too late to reconcile. I want you to know, as a business owner, I appreciate your feedback. This lets me know how we're doing and where we need to improve. We're looking to grow and better the quality and experience of our clients, it is reviews such as yours that provide our company the ability to learn and correct our mistakes. Dan D."

After several calls to other chimney companies and dealing with answering machines. I came across Advance Chimney who not only answered my call but was able to show up the same day and provide an estimate for my leak. Dan and his crew showed up a few days later and replaced the roof shingles and lead flashing all around the chimney. I have not had water running down my walls since. I would highly recommend this company to others

Dan came out to our home in Easton the next day after we called and provided us with pictures and a detailed quote to correct our problem. Unlike other company's that had come out we noticed Dan was the only one to set a ladder up and get onto the roof. He showed us issues we didn't know about, like the severe leak that was coming in threw our damaged flashing causing the wood around the chimney to rot and a large nest at the top of the chimney that may have been blocking some fumes from our boiler. Although the quote came in a little higher then the others, Dan's quote found and imminently corrected more issues the others had failed to find and recommend. Dan and his crew pulled a permit for the job, were professional the entire time and very neat and clean. They came highly recommended from a co-worker at my office and id like to pass the recommendation on to others that may be experiencing chimney problems of there own. My Husband and I could not be happier with the look of our new chimney, flashing, cap and the wood/roof shingles they replaced . Thank You again Advance Chimney !
