3 Sons failed to pull the permit for an exterior door replacement despite having it added to the contract. They also installed the door incorrectly. The door jamb was not flush with the drywall by 3/4". According to the manufacturer of the door, Thermatru, this was an incorrect installation. Paul Nutile, the owner of the company, was very unprofessional in all of his communication and refused to fix the poor install. When I took him to small claims court, he cursed at me in the courtroom like a child.

Avoid Three Sons Window and Door! We requested a quote for 13 double hung Andersen windows. Three Sons Window and Door provided a first contract (Released by Jacob Stone on Mar 2, 2023) for 12 (not 13) Andersen 200 series windows for $9,792. We told them we wanted to proceed with the contract for the 13 windows which should have been $10,826. Three Sons Window and Door second contract (Released by Jacob Stone) was for $14,498 (a $4,706 increase over expected). The increase was for an "extra fee" they forgot to add for window installation. Their error number 2. The second contract was accepted, and the contract signed for $14,498. A deposit was accepted on the contract by Three Sons Window and Door for $5,000. They refused to honor the contract saying Three Sons had made another mistake (the third) and it would cost $7,511 more to proceed. I requested they honor the contract we had both had signed. They refused to do the work and finally returned my deposit, over 6 months later, after multiple requests. To me honoring a contract is a fundamental aspect of any business. I strongly do not recommend Three Sons for ANY work.

Three Sons Window and Door is an amazing family-owned company. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with this business. I had extensive damage to my older home (1900), so much so, that other contractors turned down this project due to it's structural problems and complexities. Three Sons solved every single issues (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, structural, cosmetic) and now my home has never functioned or looked better. Cost of projects was reasonable. Paul Nutile, the general contractor, is brilliant; it is a pleasure to do business with him. The workers were outstanding; I was thrilled with the quality of their work. Susan, and the office staff, were always responsive to my questions and on top of every project. I have total trust in this company and have enthusiastically recommended Three Sons to many friends.

I have received a proposal from the company for $10575. After I requested a confirmation of the specifications for the hardware to be installed I have signed the contract (including paying the requested 30% of the full price). Just before the execution of the contract, the company is requesting an additional $4000 (to a total of $14575). It motivates this absurd request by the price volatility of a component of the window. It is a classic example of bait and switch when they come with a lower price to secure the contract and they hope the customer will give in to their bogus explanations. A nearly 40% error in a contracting quote is unprofessional and ultimately a proof of poor customer service and business practices. It is shameful that in these days and age we still have these cases

"We gave you a remote quote to get started with the project price. We let people know from the beginning of these quotes that things can change when the exact measurements and specs are entered. You were ok with that process to get started. In this instance, the pricing did change. We did not misrepresent anything. As requested by the customer, we have cancelled the contact and refunded all monies."

Everything was great. They were very easy to deal with and the work done was excellent. The windows and the replacement coils outside look great. They worked quickly, neatly and efficiently and I couldn't be happier. I was expecting to have to repaint the sills after replacing the windows, but he was so neat, it isn't even necessary. I would definitely hire this company again.

The workers arrived within ten minutes of the estimated start time and went right to work. They were polite, used professional Covid protocol/protection. They covered the carpet and furniture to protect everything. Somehow they were able to remove the old windows from the inside and install the new ones. All the windows were on the third floor and it was raining that day. They replaced the trim on the exterior of the windows after removing the old storm windows. They cleaned up and HEPA vacuumed from the third floor room down the stairs to the first floor. Everything looked great and I was very happy with their work. They were all done by 1:30 in the afternoon.

The whole experience was great from start to finish. All information was up front, communication and documentation was excellent, price was right with good warranty, and they installed 9 windows between 8:30 and 12:30 on a single day. Cleanup was good and everyone I had contact with was professional and courteous. I would recommend them. Prices were much better than a number of other companies and the warranty is also quite good.

The walk through and initial quote was straightforward, nothing salesy. Our only complaint was there was a long waiting period before the install, but given the pandemic that’s understandable. Junior, our installer, was very professional, and got it done in a day even though his partner was out sick! I would definitely rate his work highly, and he walked me through and described all parts of the install. The price was much lower than a larger name brand company, and still comes with a twenty year warranty. All in all, quite happy.

Paul and his crew's work was top notch.. I had this work done in 2017 but wanted to update what it looks like 3 years later. I still get compliments on how great my house looks. It looks as good now as it did when I first had it done. All first rate quality materials and brands were used for the siding, doors, and windows. I feel the price was very fair for all the work that was done. The crew did extras without extra charge ...hanging outdoor light fixtures etc The crew was always very personable, always showed up on time and left their work areas picked up after a days work. I would highly recommend "Three Sons Windows and Doors"

The crew arrived exactly on time and ready to go. They went over the procedure, and helped move some furniture out of the way. They were efficient and pleasant. As they described, the work did take the entire day, but everything went smoothly and without problem. I would heartily recommend them for any window and/ or door work.

Thanks to crewleader Mike and his hard working crew of 5 who completed the entire siding job on my 2-family home including CertainTeed vinyl siding, new soffits and gutters. They completed the whole job in one week without a hitch. House looks a thousand percent better.

They guys did a wonderful job. I had a small punch list of things to fix and it was completed with no questions asked. Looking to have them come back and possibly replace my old wooden deck with a composite one.

I had a bad experience with Three Sons. They were contracted to re-side my entire house and to put railings on my front porch. Some of the issues were: - The contract called for Azek columns. That wasn't done; instead, they wrapped PVC around a post. - In two of the four columns installed on my front porch, the top trim pieces were so badly aligned that I could stick my hand into the post inside the column - The bottom of the columns were not caulked. The columns were wrapped around an 4x4 fir post (untreated) so water seepage is a concern. - The doorbell was re-installed with nails (just plain sloppy workmanship!) - The workers caused a 2.5"x3.5" hole in a board of my deck. I had to ask them to fix it - wouldn't that be standard procedure? - Someone lied to me: a worker was scheduled weeks in advance to come on a Monday at 8am. I confirmed it multiple times. At 10:30 that day, the receptionist said he was driving in a downpour and turned back. He came a few days later and said he had no idea about Monday's appointment, and didn't drive to my house. What?? - They didn't install the water table (a white piece at the bottom of the siding) completely. Or maybe they did. The same receptionist from the other issue said the missing piece was an oversight since it is the last step. The person who came to fix it said the final piece of the water table couldn't be installed unless I wanted major work to redo it. And, if that work was done, it would probably affect the integrity of the siding. He was willing to do what I wanted "to make me happy", but at that point, I was too tired to argue more. I just hope all the work that I can't see is water tight, but I've lost all peace of mind about that. - I could go on, but as I said, I'm tired and just want this behind me. You wore me down, Three Sons. You win. Good for you.

"When we did our final walkthrough this customer was happy with the entire project and it looks absolutely beautiful ( If I could attach a photo this this response, I would). The job was completed using PVC Azek and Azek railings as discussed. If there was some caulking missing , we apologize and our worker would have most certainly fixed that when he inspected the water table. The water table was installed and was water tight. The hole in her deck was pre-existing with a downspout running through it. We did not make this hole. The receptionist (who happened to be the owner of the company) gave this customer a reasonable explanation why we had to reschedule on the original day she was scheduled to have her water table looked at. There were indeed torrential rains on the day of that appointment. We rescheduled and set another date and time and showed up as planned. I guess that all of our other reviews speak for themselves as does our superior craftsmanship."

The house looks amazing. Paul and his crew were extremely professional, friendly, prompt and performed very high quality work. They were all a pleasure to work with. They did some extras for no additional cost ... new hardware and hinges on all exterior doors throughout the house, changed and programmed new garage door openers, attached new lights to the outside of house and removed a lot of old furniture that we wanted gone. They were very thorough and always picked up after themselves after a days work. We would highly recommend Three Sons. Only gave a "GOOD" rating for price because it was a very expensive project. However, we did get 3 quotes and this was the better price of the three.

Our experience with Three Sons was positive. The cost estimates were spot on and the schedule was very reasonable. There were some hiccups along the way, which are to be expected. Paul and his crew (from office staff to on-site team) were excellent. Paul was great in providing insight and recommendations as to how to approach a major project. The team formally processed change orders to do it right (2 new windows and an exterior door). Communicaiton was great and the crew was considerate of limited parking and sensitive to my tenants scheduled. These guys showed up exactly when they said they would and finished right on the established timeline. This is the crew I'll hire again. Excellence.

It is rare I work with contractors and all I can say is that my experience with Three Sons was excellent. The finished result was high quality and what was expected! More importantly, they set expectations appropriately and met them. They arrived on time as communicated, cleaned up at the end of each work day prior to leaving. All of their staff was polite and professional. I would highly recommend them.
