They were very professional & patient. We originally planned to just fix our pool but then decided to rehab the entire room around the pool. THey came back a year later to reassess the situation. They recommended some new equipment & agreed to pick up where we left off.

They do a great job.  We have used them for three years and have been very good in the work they do and helpful in providing suggestions and answering questions.  They installed a UV system two years ago and measured, had crafted, and applied the pool cover "that will support and elephant" a year ago.

I am contemplating contesting the such extraordinary amount, I don't think they are consciously honest.
Response from Sweetwater Pool Service & Supply
"Most of our customers find our prices extremely competitive. Our weekly service prices are especially competitive. We might not be the cheapest service you can find, but great service is usually not the cheapest. We are very competitive compared to all the major outfits."

Response from Sweetwater Pool Service & Supply
"Mr. Grove did request a quote on tile repair in August. We generally only do tile repair in July and August, and by the time we received his request, we had become short staffed in our renovation department. Because we appreciate [Member Name] as a client very much, we did keep his request open in the hopes that we could do something before we closed his pool. We never were able to do that, and unfortunately, we never followed up by phone or email why we could not do that. We are a company that takes customer support very seriously and it is why we generally have high ratings on Angie's List. While we dropped the ball here, we are proud of our reputation of getting back to customers and keeping them informed about any requests they have on their pool. We hope to make this up to Mr. Grove in the spring before he opens his pool."

We are very happy with Sweetwater's services over the past year. They have expert staff who are knowledgeable and competent. To that point, the staff solved a tricky leak for us that took several visits and tests. Also very responsive to email and calls. Dana at the office is pleasant and professional to deal with.

I've been having problems with my pool leaking water and not just not running well. I was using a different service company that never addressed the problems and just tried to sell me a new filter which I suspected I didnt really need. Sweetwater was very professional and fixed the problem right away. Right away I could tell they knew what they were doing. Their prices are also lower than other pool companies

The service was prompt, and they've always been very helpful on the phone (I've called them a few other times needing advice or recommendations for our pool).

I use Sweetwater to winterize my pool every winter. They have the high pressure air pumps necessary to bleed the lines. They also clean the filter, put the appropriate chemicals in the pool and anti-freeze in the lines, and put on the cover. They have also over the years replaced the main pump and the main valve and I have been happy with their service. The most recent tech was approachable, knowledgeable and shared his insights and opinions. Their teams are usually experienced and the pool is generally in good shape in the spring. They are a often a little hasty in putting the cover on the pool (last year several concrete blocks holding the cover fell in). In general I am pleased with Sweetwater's repair service, with one unfortunate exception. I contracted with them to replace the expansion joint sealant strip between the coping and the concrete which had shrunk and pulled away. The repair tech sawed out  the old sealant and injected new sealant, but did not clean up any of the old white sealant that had spilled out of the crack. I made the mistake of ordering grey sealant and it looks ridiculous next to the remnants of the old white sealant. The new sealant was not installed correctly and has since shrunk away from the concrete in many places. I gained nothing from having replaced the sealant. I mentioned this to Sweetwater immediately after they performed the repair and many times since. I am sure they don't want to redo the job, but in my opinion, that is what should have been done.I can recommend Sweetwater for openings or closings, or basic plumbing repairs.

They kept me up to date on the work and what was going on. If there were any changes they let me know and explained what was happening. They were very available by phone to explain what was happening. There were some delays involved that had more to do with my pool than with them. When those delays did happen they were very accommodating on working around the changes and even taking on some of the expense themselves.

I spent approximately about $500. They seem to be very knowledgeable. They know exactly how the work is to be done. They brought the pots very quickly. They finished the job quickly. They were less expensive than the companies I used previously.

All the way around, it was a bad experience and continues to be a bad experience. They installed a new liner, and they said they had to special order new ladders. A MONTH LATER, I was still waiting for the ladders so I could get into the pool. I would have liked to have used the pool because I had a broken leg at the time, and my orthopedic surgeon recommended water therapy. Then the special order ladders came, and they didn't fit. (Sweetwater had done the measuring for the ladders.) Then Stephen Courtner said that the old ladders were an unusual size, and I would have to get custom-made ladders. Finally, someone came out: Sweetwater had measured incorrectly. Standard ladders worked just fine, and they were ordered and put in the existing hardware. In the meantime, months went gone by, and dealing with Sweetwater was a very unpleasant experience. Now, we have opened the pool for the season, and the new liner is falling apart. It is sagging and bagging out of the coping. I called Stephen. He said, "It's the weather" and could not give an explanation that made any sense at all. He said that they would not fix the liner unless I paid for a service call. And he said "Evidently you don't like us because you didn't hire us for for opening and closings." Uh, why would I after the experience I had with them? So he is blowing off their guarantee. I asked why he didn't install liner clips, which seemed like an error on his part. And he replied that they don't do that unless there's a problem later, after the installation. I am going to contact another pool company for the repairs. The company seems incompetent and Stephen is rude.

It was our first year owning a pool and we didn't know anything different so we thought we would be 'smart' to hire someone. Sweetwater knows NOTHING about salt water generators. In 2009 (our second year) we ended up having to get another company (R&R pools in Littleton MA) to come out and fix our salt water generator because sweet water didn't know how - they were reading the manuals. So if you're planning on switching to salt water - they are not the experts they claim to be. They also did our weekly maintenance in 2008 and we still ended up with algae that we had to resolve ourselves. After doing the initial opening of the pool last year (2009) we got rid of them. We had had enough. The workers were incredibly rude and unresponsive. They told us to call them when the pool was clear.. we called them when the pool was clear and they couldn't get out for about a week so my husband ended up finishing the pool opening himself (all by reading on line on how to do it) so we quickly got rid of them and told them not to bother finishing opening up our pool. When I called Steve to tell him, he could care less that we were dissatisfied with their service. His exact words were 'oh ok'. My husband ended up closing our pool himself last year (by reading up on line) and did the opening himself this year. No issues with either process with him doing it himself. And the $4000 fence they put up... sags and looks like crap!!! I DO NOT recommend this company.
