Power Home Remodeling was a great company to work with. From the initial sales meeting to the installation was great. My wife and I met with the Greg Nolan for our free estimate, and he was great, he spent a good 4 hours with us, because we had a lot of questions about the Power Home’s windows as well a other products they had. Greg was very informative and during the estimate meeting we never felt pressured into buying. We decided to go with Power Home Remodeling because of the quality of the windows and the price (we looked at Anderson Windows and felt we go the same quality for a fraction of the price). Power Home Remodeling set up the Pre-installation meeting a couple weeks after we agreed to buy the window, that was great because the General Contractor came out and re-measured all the windows to ensure the dimensions were correct from the initial measuring. Power Home kept us informed on the status of our windows and set up the installation date which occurred 2 months after the Pre-install appointment. Today they Power Home Remodeling came out and installed our windows, they were punctual and very professional, they Foreman introduced himself and his crew and they check all the windows to ensure they all all the correct windows before beginning the install. The crew was very quick and kept us informed every step of the way. I was impressed when the found several of the window sill were rotted and they fixed at no additional cost (they wanted to insure the replacement windows has a solid foundation to be installed into and to avoid future dames to the structure of the house). After the installation was completed the Foreman walked by wife and I, showing us all the windows and ensuring if we had question they would answer. I would recommend Power Home Remodeling Group for window replacement because of the quality and price of the window.

Power was terrific. They communicated better than any contractor I've ever worked with, they showed up when they said they would, and they got the work done a little faster than expected. One of the old windows they replaced had a makeshift storm window that I was afraid would be there forever because removing it would involve moving the awning over an adjacent door, but the guy from Power found a way to take out the ugly storm without removing or damaging the awning. The new windows look great and the quality is excellent. And they're guaranteed for 50 years -- transferable to the next owner if I sell the house. None of this comes cheap, but I was happy to pay for top-notch windows and top-notch service.

Since we have had ice dam damage during two major snow storms over the past 10 years, our roof was 16 years old, and are planning to sell our house in 2019, we asked Power to assess the roof condition and give us an estimate for replacement. The salesman did a thorough inspection and pointed out several instances of wear and damage to both the roof and fascia boards. Although he spent much too long going over the Power products and the procedures (till too late at night), we were impressed by Power's multi-faceted approach to preventing ice dams and other water damage. What sold us on doing the roof now, however, before selling the house, was the salesman's assurance that the warranty was backed by a national company and transferable to the new owners. Since we have Gutter Shield gutter guards, he said that we'd need to have those removed by the Gutter Shield installer before the roof was done and then replaced afterwards. He did not tell us (and perhaps did not know), that replacing the fascia required removing the gutters and that they would need to be replaced exactly as before in order for the gutter guards to fit. This turned out to be a major problem. When the pre-install inspection manager came to go over the procedures and schedule the work, he told us that the gutters would have to be removed and there would be an additional charge to reinstall them. Because of the misunderstanding, he waived the re-installation charge---but apparently also did not know about the problem of re-installing the gutter guards onto gutters that were no longer exactly in the same place. Power sends a large crew, so the roofing job is normally completed in one day. We had some rain, so it took two days, which was not a problem and the roofing part of the job seems to have been done quite well. The supervisor of the roofing crew was super helpful and kept us abreast of everything they were doing. The fascia and gutter crew, however, had no obvious supervisor and did not communicate with either us or the roofing supervisor. Moreover, they used our vinyl deck railing to support a ladder (unnecessarily in our view) and damaged the railing, and they remounted the front gutter with too steep an incline (by a factor of two or more). Power sends a quality assurance manager after completion of the job to make sure everything is in order, provide the warranty information and collect the payment. When we read the warranty we discovered that Power's labor warranty is not transferable, contrary to what the salesman had told us. (The GAF shingle warranty is transferable, but that's true with any roofing company.) Since this was the decisive feature that led us to contract with Power, we raised objections. The quality assurance manager called the regional project manager, who prepared an addendum extending the labor warranty to the next owners. He also offered to pay the cost of having the Gutter Shield installer rehang the gutters with a correct incline. The pre-install inspection manager suggested that Mr Clean MagicEraser could be used to polish up the damaged railing (which we have successfully done) . Overall we were pleased with the company's thoroughness, quality of product, and communications. We would rate the work an 'A' except for the untruthful statements of the salesman and the poor communication and sloppiness of the fascia crew. We did not receive other quotes for the work, so we suspect that Power's was on the high side, though not too much out of line compared with what we paid in 2002. If the Power roofing system prevents future ice dams, any extra cost will be well worth it.

They finished in a day as promised but it seemed like the job was rushed to finish that day and the team would do anything possible to finish the same day. Services that were guaranteed by the salesperson were not rendered the day of for our unique roofing design. I'm not sure if this is due to lack of communication between the sales rep and the job foreman but what we communicated and discussed with the sales rep the foreman the day of was unaware of the request and promise. Additionally, the team still did not repair that section of the roof per our request. They way they write the contract is in such a way where if you add specifics they are not explicitly written in their contract. Overall, work completed was done very well, quick and efficiently but I would recommend you stay all day and oversee the job.

We do siding with gathering with Power remodeling, the project started with one week delay. According to contract the project should take less of one week, but currently, we 3 weeks after starting and the project still not finish yet. All that you can hear from the company representative this is tomorrow, next week, soon. The project manager tries to close permits without finish the job (and as expected failed in inspection). Due to the project the company blocked condensation pipe from A/C in the attic. I am highly not recommended to use this company. The product is not cheap, but service is very bad.

Very detail-oriented and professional crews from estimates, planning to actual installation. We have an unusually large bay window plus a few old windows replaced. The window and hardware look very solid and they offer very good warranty. Their attentive service and warranty are well worth the higher price they charge. We also use them to replaced all the gutters for the house. A different but equally professional and efficient crew did the gutters. Overall, very happy with the jobs they did,

Showed up on time and guys went right to work. They handled themselves professionally and found some unexpected issues which they handled very well. It was a very smooth process. My husband and I felt informed the entire time we felt with the company. The crews we professional, considerate of our tenants and neighbors and all materials were cleaned up as they went along. I would hire this company again.

We are in the process of shopping for replacement siding for our house. We've spoken with several providers already, and are aware that this is a process every time. The sales pitches can be extensive, and each one tends to prefer to push for a particular product. We understand this, and have willingly sat through four such sessions already, and were looking to get the estimate and see the product from Power Home Remodeling. Unfortunately, we couldn't even get that far. I was scheduled to have an appointment with the sales rep at 3:30 in the afternoon. I was called to confirm the address and time, which I do appreciate. However, when I indicated that we needed to be done before 5:00, the dispatcher indicated that we would have to reschedule. He indicated that out of respect for our time, and since there could be traffic, we had to open up our afternoon to discuss the project and he couldn't schedule it knowing we had a hard stop. They provide a one hour window of arrival, and if they arrived too late, there wouldn't be enough time to go over the project. I could understand this, so I asked about the first appointment of the day, to see if we could plan to meet then. He indicated that he could schedule a meeting to start right at 10, no problem, and we wouldn't have to worry about traffic or the potential delay of an hour due to difficulties getting there on time. So I asked how much time we should plan set aside from our day, if we plan to meet at 10, so that we can schedule the visit. He indicated that he cannot set a window of time, depending on the size of the house and the questions asked by the homeowner. Under normal circumstances, I can see that impacting the time, but as I indicated, we had been through this process several times already, and I had an idea of how many questions we had. What I found very frustrating was that this dispatcher wouldn't even commit within a large window of time for us to set aside from our day. It is possible for me and my wife to set aside and plan for a morning or afternoon to sit down to discuss for a project of this size with a contractor, but to ask us to leave it completely open ended is just not feasible. It also tells me that when I have an appointment "window" of arrival of at 3:30, that I'd be lucky if they arrived by 4:30, because they are pushing their sales pitch ad nauseam to their earlier appointment. I didn't think it possible, but Power Home Remodeling has made the frustrating experience of siding replacement shopping even MORE frustrating!

the salesperson is very thorough - and the installation was smooth. I really like the fact that once the job is done and before you actually pay, someone comes back to make sure everything is good. What other contractors will do that?
I just had my house sided and trimmed out by Power Home Remodeling and I'm VERY happy with the results - it was transformative. The crew was super, fast, and did a great job in cleanup. The results have made my old home look fantastic. I had priced out work with others and found that the big box home store couldn't do it for much less, and I definitely got much higher quality. The product used for the siding is a thicker, more rigid panel than traditional vinyl and it is built to last (and adds a insulation layer). My house had *lots* of trim work needing attention and the crew made it look easy (bending and forming the flashing). I was very impressed. I'd recommend Power for anyone considering siding.

Communication thru the entire process was excellent. The installers (3) arrived on time. They introduced themselves and were very professional. The installation took approximately 6 to 7 hours and they worked continually during this time. The installation went without any problems. At the completion of the installation all of the replaced windows and debris were removed. I am very pleased with the quality of the windows and the finish work performed by the installers was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend the Power Group to anyone for the installation of windows.

I set out to obtain estimates for a new roof from 5 roofing companies on Angie's List and came across PHR. Assuming that their generally positive ratings on the site meant they were legitimate, I scheduled the estimate appointment. From the very first second I spoke to these guys, you can tell they are a 100% sales organization. As I was talking to the scheduler person, I could just imagine him sitting in a huge cube farm wearing a headset and reading from a script. I almost cut it off right there, but then thought "hey, Angie's List had good ratings for them, so have some patience." The day of the appointment, they called and said the estimator would be 3 hours late. When he finally got there I told him I needed to leave in an hour given he was late and I had an appointment that I clearly explained to the schedule. He told me that he "couldn't be late because he just got the call to come over from dispatch 30 minutes ago." He also kept asking where my wife was. Again, I almost asked him to leave on the spot, but thought "have some patience." The process was agonizing. He dragged it out for 3 hours pointing to bogus evidence of moisture and heat damage, venting issues, complications for the installation, etc. He also tried this annoying bit about how awful the roofing industry is and tried to really scare us that every roofer is a sleeze, etc. It was a clear trained approach at a setting the stage for pricing -- literally sales 101 from YouTube. We couldn't get him to leave. Spent over an hour showing me on the iPad nonsense about the company, it's self-testimonial accolades, and the organizations it donates to. I kept reminding him that I had to leave and he kept pushing say that he just couldn't go yet because wasn't done. I really wanted to kick him out and forcefully, but ended up feeling bad for the kid who obviously is getting paid by the quote. I begrudgingly let him finish his awful pitch and awaited the quote. It was literally double the other 4 quotes I got, that were, by the way, only a couple thousand off of each other. He wouldn't leave me a detailed estimate and instead wrote down a number on a piece of paper. I asked him if he'd be sending me more details about what was included, the process, the warranty, etc. He acted like he had never been asked that before and that all I needed was the final number. I told him that was going to make it impossible to make any form of decision and it was time go. As I was trying to get him out of the house, he started to offer discounts if I signed up on the spot and if I would allow a testimonial quote when done. I still could not get this kid out of my house and had to get very very assertive. BUT, none of the above even comes close to the final reason to NEVER CALL THIS COMPANY. A week later I received a letter in the mail from PHR stating that because I called them for a quote, they gave all of my information to pre-screen credit and insurance sales offer and the only way to stop all the calls and emails would be to file an opt out status on OptOutPrescreen.com. I get 3-4 voicemails a day now about mortgages and insurance. Nonstop. What a joke. I am actually a little surprised any of the positive reviews above can be possible and now question how valid Angie's List ratings really are. But, not anyone's fault but my own. Please do your research and stick with local service providers that are referred to you by people you know. I'm embarrassed that I didn't recognize the sham I walked into.
