Pretty bad.  Phil was very stubborn and believed we owed him $1,000.  The work only took a few hours and I could not imagine how they could charge that much even if they hadn't caused the problem.  For any other work we had done with them of that magnitude we had gotten an estimate and signed off on it before work began.  
I tried over a 9 month period to resolve the issue with Phil, but he failed to respond to my outreach by mail and phone.  Each month the invoice came again marked overdue.  His office staff said they understood but Phil had to take care of it.  He did not return my calls  until my husband left a very angry message for him.  He finally responded and was so nasty.  In the end I paid him $250 to settle the issue as I didn't want to leave it unresolved.
In general their service was OK, but prices very high.

Phil Sr. and Phil Jr. came out, provided ideas and suggestions which included lifting each of the AC units, leveling and grading the back area, then installed pavers. They showed up when they said they would, worked with us and kept us updated on progress and any issues. They were prompt, professional and were very intent on making sure the job was done the right way. They were very easy to deal with, and have a great reputation in the area and very honest. The quality of the job was top notch and since the work was done 2 of the condo's have been sold, both new owners told us that it was because of the nice patio in the back that helped them to decide to purchase in our building. We had them back last spring to trim back some trees and they were great. We wanted them to come back and cut the trees back further and they came out and took care of it without charging us extra. Very reputable and we will definitely use them for other large jobs.

Vincent (one of Phil's sons) was extremely professional and punctual. He communicated with me several times leading up to the actual work and then showed up that morning with the sod, seed and two helpers. They worked diligently and professionally, letting me know each step that they were going to be taking before they did it. In my mind, it was a complicated job because some of the back and side yard were in good shape, while the rest was covered in weeds and rocks; so they had to get all of the rocks and weeds out of the affected areas, till it, get it ready for the sod, and then actually lay down the sod.
They also planted seed in the small gaps between sod and existing grass (the sod obviously comes in rectangle pieces, and they stitched into the existing lawn) and gave good direction on how often to water. It has now been about 3 weeks and the yard looks great!
We highly recommend Mr. Mastroianni.

During a storm one of our 25' tree got uprooted and was leaning on my neighbors tree. He saved tree on very short notice.
My regular landscape contractor offered to cut the tree and remove it. But Phil agreed to save it.
He brought enough crew to straighten the tree after removing the top, and stabilize it.
It is still stable and growing 6 months later.

JUNE 2013 - Just a quick update .... the garden popped to life beautifully this spring! It is such a treasure to behold , that people tell me they walk their dogs 5 blocks out of their way just to see it every day! - That pretty much says it all!

They were prompt arriving at the time of the appointment. Everything was taken away and job was done as speciifed. I asked if they could also take care of the limbs that were touching my neighbors house and they did at no extra charge.

Dana was very knowledgeable, through and professional. He came to give the estimate and responded very quickly to my needs. The day that the work crew came, there were 3 really nice guys. They reviewed with me what they were going to do, were polite, clean cut and did a really good job.

We've used them before. They gave us a bid and we competitive the bid and their price is the best price. I significantly bet that they are better than others and like I said they have done work for us in the past. They told me that they're going to be here at 8:30 in the morning and they were here at 8:30 in the morning. The tree is gone and the ground is stumped out. They were very responsive and showed up on time. They started work on a weekday and I live probably six or seven hundred feet away from an elementary school. They were very progressive with all the mummies parking on the road, taking their kids to school and stuff like that. They were very professional.

They did a great job! Everything was done the way they said it would be. They were very professional.

Mark Young, the arborist, was very responsive once I finally got a hold of him. The company is obviously very busy, and it took nearly two weeks to get a phone call back (after multiple tries on my end). He finally gave me his cell phone number and things went very smoothly from there. He was able to come within a few days for an estimate, and once the paperwork for the estimate was prepared, Mark was able to complete the job within a timely manner. We were very pleased with his work once it was completed. However, I had also tried to use the landscaping business, but it took over two weeks of phone tag to talk to someone--many attempts of not answering phone calls. Once I finally was able to talk to the owner, I was taken aback with his unfriendly conversation and lack of interest in assisting us with our needs. He suggested that I speak with a landscape architect instead, and promised to e-mail me that contact information. Needless to say I didn't receive this information. I highly recommend using Mark Young the arborist, but not the rest of the company.

I am very happy with them. I didn't get any other estimates. The arborist came with two other guys and they spent the day. They did a fine job. I would recommend them. They came back and sprayed for the winter moss.

They did a good job. I called and they were not open on Sunday. I was kind of disappointed and they called back at 7 am the following morning. They came and gave an estimate and took the tree away within two hours. They were very responsive. I called other companies and apparently nobody works on Sundays. One guy I called said to go online and find somebody else. The cost was reasonable.

Fantastic job! Crew showed up at 9:15am and worked through to 5pm. Everything was done by the end of the day except for removal of stumps. Company came back a couple of days later to finish the job. Backyard & driveway were left spotless.

He has been reliable other times he has just been really difficult to get to show up. I have to follow up too often and have decided to stop calling. When he is here he does a good job. I will not use him again.

Overall they did a very good job. Their stone mason did a beautiful job on the low retaining wall. They were very professional and did the work on schedule. They did the work for the amount quoted. We had some plants die during the first winter and they replaced them, with not arguments. The owner and site person were very nice to work with.
