His tile guy Dan is very good in his work. He was able to carefully use the extra tiles we had for the bathroom to finish the tile around the wall of the vanity. Dan also tiled our entryway and it was done very well.
Neal and his crew were working throughout the time they were at our house, no wasted time. Neal was able to make suggestions to minor issues around the house and completed them.
Overall, it was a pleasure working with Neal and I would definitely recommend him,
They also removed all the old debris - the old tiles and crumbing cement boards - to construction bags for recycling. They had to deal with unusual wall depth, walls out of plumb, unusual plumbing of tub faucet -- all due to 50+ year old bathroom. Not to mention all the mold and mildew that lurked behind the tiles. They saved money by installing strapping instead of a double wall to bring the new durock cement board out to the proper depth, and match the depth of old wall that remains above the top course of 4x4 ceramic tiles.
After installing the durock, they applied mastic adhesive and installed tiles in small sections. The tiles matched up very well, with no small ones on the border, except on the inside intersection of the walls, where they are least noticeable. They came back after the adhesive hardened, and applied the grout. A plumber was called in to help install the new faucet kit. And finally the grab bars were installed, and we are really enjoying our new tub/shower.
"I guarantee my work. I never received any call, text or email that there was an issue for me to address. I was hired to replace one fascia trim on two roof overhangs. They were both badly rotted and improperly fastened to the two extensions on each side. I replaced the boards and noted that the soffit below and both side boards were slightly rotted. Replacement would have been costly - and not part of scope of work. Since repair was to address immediate needs (house was being sold) - I repaired as best I could. I know of no nail issues - I only used about 6-8 nails per board - it was a simple install. I charge for disposal of trash as I have to take to trash company (time, fuel and his charges. In this case - I cut up the 2 - 6' boards to small pieces for disposal in owners trash can. It only took about 6" high of his can. The customer was at home of time of job and never made any note of any issues during or after my work. I wish that customer called me and I would have more thoroughly explained issues and addressed any additional work - if required."
"We spent considerable time installing new square sheetrock over a very defective ceiling. The materials were applied properly. No joint compound was applied as the customer to apply himself - to save install costs. Had the customer called about any concerns we would certainly addressed them. He seemed satisfied when we left the job site - and sent a check."
