I would absolutely use them again.

I have used LongLife Auto for several repair jobs on Honda and Saab vehicles and without exception found their service and knowledge to be excellent as well as very reasonable and affordable. Owner Mike Bundy runs a great operation and his team reflects the attention and consideration a customer should expect and I have not been disappointed in either the experience nor the actual repairs ranging from small to large complex situations. Originally referred to LongLife by a good friend who had several used vehicles in their family on which LL worked, I have been very pleased and recommend that anyone in the Waltham vicinity strongly consider assessing LongLife for your next auto repair situation.

Oil change, replaced broken sway bar.
I asked to inspect spark plugs and they checked them but said that they are ok and don't need replacement.
I feel that I can trust the business, because it is a 13 year old car and there are plenty of things that could be fixed and replaced if a shop wanted to make money of it.
Excellent with scheduling and getting back to me per phone to keep me informed about cost and the progress and when I can pick up the car.
So I would definitely use them again.

Took my 2002 Chevy Cavalier in for AC repair and to repair an automatic window that wouldn't go back up. They were highly responsive, quick to repair the vehicle and a great value! I will continue to take my vehicle here to keep it running as long as possible!

They are very competent and I felt like they were very upfront about everything.

Going to Long Life Auto has become a far less painful experience than any other auto place I have ever dealt with. Women are treated equally to men in terms of deserving a thorough, patient, explanation of work needed. And what is most valuable, is that they will recommend the minimum of what the car needs rather than making you think things need replacement when they can still be safe. On the other hand, they will alert you as to when something really needs to go. This has made me trust their recommendations more than any other place. It gives me the chance to pay for as little as I can afford at a time rather than get shocked by too much work done at once, which usually seems to be the case when done at dealerships just when your warrantee runs out. My only hesitation in telling everyone how wonderful Long Life is?.is that they will get too busy!

Wow! This is a place I would go to again, Obvious quality of workmanship, proud of their work and very ethical. When I explained to the owner the issue, he indicated it was common for my car. He put the car up on a lift and told me that he saw what the dealer had seen and offered three options. First, hecould do what the dealer had recommended for less money. Second, he suggested if he was doing the work mentioned by the dealer, that, while doing that, there was more work that should be done which would have cost what the deeler was going to charge doing less work. The third option, which he recommended aobve theo ther two was to do nothing at this time and watch to see if it developed further. I was impressed that he could have sold me on the $600 job which I probably would have had done if it were not for his high ethical standards that recommended no action. He charged me nothing. I went to him based on the recommendations on Angie's list and they were right. If you live near Waltham and need work done, go there. It is not a sleek impressive place but they obviously do very good work at reasonable prices.

Outstanding! They were so very honest and professional with her, explaining fully what needed to be done. An unscrupulous shop could have easily taken advantage of her (as often can happen to women). I can't give Long Life Auto Repair enough praise...thank you, thank you, thank you! She will recommend them to all her friends in the area who need to find a mechanic!

They are really good.  They are very well informed and they always work within my budget no matter what my car needs.  I can’t say enough good things about them.  Their pricing is very good.  They are easy to work with.  They are very responsive and the service is great.  They are very reliable.  They will troubleshoot a repair until it is done, until it is fixed, and they don’t charge me for hours upon hours of work.  If it takes them a long time to find something, they consider it as their fault, but they always find things right away.

No problems! I have been a very satisfied customer of Long Life Auto for about a dozen years - through three different makes & models of automibles.Mike Bundy is the owner/manager. And, the one factor that stands out above all is Mike's integrity. He is an honest man and you can trust your car to Mike. Yes, he and his mechanics also are well trained; provide quality service; and go beyond just fixing a problem to ensure a truly professional job and high customer satisfaction. But mostly, I go there because I know that if Mike says something needs to be fixed, it truly does.

They were able to fit us in on a Friday (they work til 7pm!) and found 1) the problem was with a different control arm/ball joint than Tom Lyons had told me; 2) the brake panel light was fine; 3) one rear tire was fine, as was the spare, so they just swapped in the spare for the worn tire.  Total for replacing the ball joint and wipers was just over $200, happily paid.

Overall the service was great.  Will use them again in the future.

I have found my new garage!
I brought the car in with a list of things to do (investigate grinding noise, check brakes, change oil, rotate tires), and walked to the corner coffee shop to wait. Mike came to find me (!) to tell me what was going on. They ended up changing our differential fluid (which fixed the grinding noise I was observing), and telling me that my brakes were fine (even though I was pretty sure I needed them). He explained the diagnoses and was really pleasant and engaging. I am very happy to find a shop that will be honest with me when work needs to be done or not. I will definitely be back.

They specialize in older cars and do everything they can do to keep your car running.

They are very good at saving me money despite the amount of money that I paid. I felt I would have paid much more for somebody else to do it. They are very ingenuous at finding ways to do something inexpensively. Mike is the only auto mechanic I know who has a PhD in French literature. I’ve been using them for years because they come through at the top. I will absolutely continue using them.

I have used Long Life Autos several times and always found them to be exceptionally helpful and prompt in their service.  On this occasion they performed a routine timing belt, tensioner and water pump waterreplacement  and oil change.  Car was ready for pickup on same day. Highly recommended
