Lexel Moving & Storage

LONG STORY SHORT- We went through Captain Van Lines for our move ( NC to PA ). All of our stuff was loaded from our North carolina house, from Best For You LLC (moving company). When our stuff arrived in PA by Lexel Moving & Storage, most of our stuff was completely broken and thrown into the truck. After going through our stuff, we have realized a lot of our stuff has been STOLEN. (we can tell by opened bags and boxes). Guns, cameras, Xbox’s, etc, were all stolen from ripped boxes and bags. Apparently our stuff was dropped off to a warehouse from BEST FOR YOU LLC, then to lexel moving company, before it arrived here. No one will tell us what warehouse our stuff was at, so we could TRY to attempt to retrieve our STOLEN stuff. (we were unaware and lied to)DO NOT RECOMMENED CAPTAIN VAN LINES, BEST FOR YOU LLC, OR LEXEL MOVING COMPANY. I have been blocked from the moving companies, as my calls or texts do not go through anymore. edit; it was in fact not dropped off at a “warehouse” they dropped off our stuff at a self storage unit, that was 4 hrs out of the way, and did god knows what. then had Lexel Moving and Storage come get it. Lexel has the information needed to look at this self storage unit, so we can view the camera footage, but will not give it to us. (it is illegal for moving companies to use self storage units)

I've used Lexel now 4 times and frankly made a mistake before this recent one using a local company in my city (Northborough) figuring I could save money on travel time. That was a disaster and I paid a lot more and have some issues with damage I need to deal with. I went back to Lexel and won't stray again. Great communication before and leading up to the move, great communication with the movers (every time at least one, if not all, crew members spoke English so we could communicate nuance) and man they work fast and that includes taking apart and putting back together things like beds, sofas, etc as needed. My cost was way less than the previous move and everything was done well. No brainer to go with Lexel.

The move went very well— with 2 pickup locations. The final price was well over the estimate— although we did ask for help packing lamps and TVs, it was a bit of a surprise. Other than that, courteous service with no damage.

This was our worst moving experience. Writing a review after almost a year of moving probably doesn’t make sense but we still have a few unopened boxes and that reminds me of the harrowing experience with this company. I don’t even know where to start. The crew created chaos when they saw that they would have to help in packing. They are well aware that people have time lines etc when it is relocating time. They quote you less but significantly increase their charges after their arrival. Unprofessional rude crew. Many things were mowing from our boxes. They left many things in the house. We had to leave so much stuff behind because they were in a rush. Will never recommend them to anyone. Please do your due diligence before hiring this company.

Find literally ANYONE else... PLEASE save yourself some stress & money by finding a better moving service... or, if you hire Lexel, keep expectations very low. 1. Don't expect to pay what you are quoted for -- Once Lexel had our things in their possession, our $2,400 quote interestingly enough became $4,200. No justification for the change, and nothing you can do when they have all your belongings unless you feel like hiring a lawyer. 2. Don't expect to get your things on time -- We gave Lexel 2-months notice for our move-in date and they provided a 10-day window for delivery (which was annoying, but fine). Nearing the end of that 10-day window, we had no update so we contacted Lexel... our things were delayed, should be there next week. Next week comes, no things. Delayed again, maybe next week... Our truck finally showed up 3 weeks late of our move-in while Lexel treated the situation nonchalanty with no recourse or refund. 3. Don't expect to receive your things in good condition -- Lexel's movers professionally wrapped and packed our sectional couch themselves. It showed up with wet, molded cushions and rust stains. Dented wine cooler. Scratched chairs and dressers. Our bar top bowed in the middle from so much weight being stacked on top. 2 shattered picture frames. Plenty more -- point being, they don't give a sh*t about your stuff once they're paid. It doesn't feel great bashing a company like this, but there have to be better options out there and hopefully you can find one.

Meet expectations. Didn't break anything. Arrived on time as stated.

They arrived on time and did the moving in very professional way. High recommend and will use again!

Moving truck they brought was too small, despite our informing them in advance that we had needed a bigger truck for our last move. I got charged $60 extra for them to carefully pack up a cheap Ikea shelf (without asking me if I wanted them to) - this is probably how they keep their quotes so low - they add unnecessary and unapproved "extras" during the move. We ended up having to make 4 or 5 trips in our car for the stuff that they couldn't fit in the moving truck, but they had room to carry one of the mover's bicycle in the moving truck. Glad I could pay for that!

We made the move as efficient as possible by packing all our goods in boxes in the garage and moving all the furniture to one level. Five men wrapped the furniture, disassembled the (one) bed, and loaded a 26-ft box truck in one hour. At the other end, two men unloaded an placed all of the goods in two hours. The pickup was early one morning, the delivery noon the next day. Every aspect of the move was perfect.

Lexel was on time, gentle with my belongings, friendly. I am so pleased to use them again and have the expected results, great!

Good, On time. I used the coupon. Only catch was you had to pay for the gas from where they started to your location so that was a surprise.

Crew was excellent, fast and professional. Communicated well and worked quickly despite loading the truck in a driving rainstorm. Couldn't have been happier with the service.

It was an excellent, professional job; everything went as expected.

Generally well. Good people do careful work and very responsive and professional. Only issue was extra charges at pick up were not clearly called out/explained which caused some misunderstanding later where management was less than understanding. Movers are all professional and excellent workers.

The initial email communication was great. The folks showed up about 15 minutes ahead of time (which was great!) and did a great job getting things packed to move. They did a good job unpacking and assembling things as well (asking me to make sure things went to the right place).

Things went alright. They were a little late but once they got going they moved quickly

The day I hired Lexel Moving my wife and I had just waited til the last minute this pack all of our things and we did not have the energy to pack everything into a moving truck and into our new home. We needed to be out of our old house by the end of the weekend. They were very friendly and careful with our belonging. They moved our large furniture with no problems. They were a huge help.

All went well. They worked quickly and efficiently. I took advantage of their 3 men for 4 hours.

It was so easy. No hassle. They were able to help me negotiate with the moving price, as I was moving on a budget. Everything went flawlessly. I’m so grateful they were recommended to me, and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

They were well worth the price I paid. They had friendly service, quick but efficient work and treated my things like their very own. I was happy with the overall job they did and would hire them again if I ever came across the need for movers.

Moving into my new apartment went smoothly! Nothing was damaged or misplaced! Excellent service

This went smoothly. Their team got the job on time and on budget. This bunch hit a home run in my opinion.
