This family-run business could not be nicer. John Hanlon, the owner, is an incredibly kind and sincere man who consistently strives  to save us money when he services our equipment. For example, John has gone the extra distance (literally) to repair our heating equipment by trying to find existing parts, rather than ordering entire new systems, even when doing so has meant that he has had to make extra trips or drive farther distances. We feel that he treats us as he would his own family.
John's wife, who schedules appointments and runs other aspects of the business, is extremely kind and sweet. The company supplies us with oil in a timely and reliable fashion, and we are never cold in the winter! The price of the oil varies depending on how much we need, etc., but we feel it is comparable to other providers. What makes this company stand out, we think, is its uniquely human touch. My husband and I recommend them wholeheartedly!

The oil tank removals were done because we converted to natural gas to heat  both apartments in the house. I called 3 companies that specialized in oil tank removal and Hanlon Oil was the only one that gave me on-site estimate which was competitive with the other two phone estimates. The necessary permit was pulled from the fire department the day before the work was done. This was a dirty, hazardous and fuel oil smelling job which was done professionaly, under four hours with no spillage and with little inconvience to myself and my tenant. I would recommend Hanlon Oil to my family & friends for this type of job.

EXCELLENT. THEY WERE PROMPT, PUNCTUAL, RESPONSIVE AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

THESE GUYS CAME 2 HOURS EARLY IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO GET PARKING! LUCKILY THERE WAS SOMEONE THERE TO LET THEM IN. THEY ALSO CAME ON ONLY TWO DAYS NOTICE, WHICH WAS IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE TANK WAS STARTING TO DRIP OIL. THIS WAS A TOTALLY GROSS JOB; THEY HAD TO REMOVE 50 YRS WORTH OF SLUDGE FROM THE OLD TANK AND THEN CUT IT IN HALF IN ORDER TO GET IT UP THE STAIRS AND OUT OF THE HOUSE. THEY DID NOT SPILL ANY OIL AND DID NOT CHARGE MUCH CONSIDERING IT TOOK 4 GUYS 5 HOURS TO DO THE WHOLE JOB (AND THEY WERE NOT GOOFING OFF, I WAS THERE). MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB WITH REMOVING AND REPLACING THE CELLAR DOOR; IT NOW STICKS AND HAS TO BE RE-HUNG. THEIR PLUMBING SKILLS ARE BETTER THAN THEIR CARPENTRY SKILLS, BUT OVERALL I WAS SATISFIED AND WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.

JOHN HANLON WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT, AND PERSONABLE. HE ORGANIZED THE PROJECT WELL. HE ARRANGED DELIVERY OF THE NEW TANK, SUPERVISED ITS INSTALLATION IN THE BASEMENT, PUMPED THE OIL OUT OF THE BURIED TANK, AND FILLED THE NEW TANK WITH OIL IMMEDIATELY SO THAT WE WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT HEAT. HE DUG UP THE OLD TANK, TAKING GREAT PAINS TO NOT DAMAGE A FLAG STONE WALKWAY THAT PARTIALLY COVERED THE UNDERGROUND TANK. HE HAD NEW DIRT DELIVERED AND FILLED IN THE HOLE LEFT BY THE TANK'S REMOVAL. HE HAULED AWAY THE OLD TANK, ARRANGED FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT INSPECTION, OBTAINED ALL OF THE APPROVAL FORMS AND PROMPTLY SENT THE CERTIFICATIONS. HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, WILLING TO EXPLAIN THE WORK, POLITE, NEAT, AND HELPFUL. I DREADED HAVING THE TANK REMOVED FEARING A GREAT DISRUPTION. JOHN HANLON TOOK CHARGE, DID THE WORK PROMPTLY, AND EFFICIENTLY. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIM.
