Services we offer
I am a General Contractor who primarily deals with residential construction, remodeling, and maintenance issues. Windows, decks & porches, remodeling general, carpentry woodworking & unfinished, remodeling - kitchen and bath, unique or unusual projects.
On surface no major issues were visible. However, after moving to 'new remodeled house' started discovering many fundamental issues that are still causing problems. 1) He built a flat roof without any drainage. After rain - I have puddle on the roof for up to 5 days, gallons of water. The man takes pride at his work and says 'I designed it that way'. 2) Electrical issues - those he is addressing as they come - but there are still more to fix. 3 separate issues with electricity since moving in. Flickering lights (fixed), etc. 3) Electrician 'forgot' to hook the AC to the electrical system - and the 'project manager' did not notice this. 3) Plumbing issues. About 6 mo into living in this house, we discovered that there is a plumbing issue underneath the bath tub and the water is now in the walls, ceiling, under floor, etc. He is addressing that now. 4) Installed new garage door into old frame where it did not fit well and screws has been flying off and the frame / the door bulging out place. 5) He glued pins to the railings of stairwells. I assume they should be more secure than attached just by glue. One of them detached just by routine use, and I am afraid that was not the only one that was attached by glue only. 6) The guys that he uses for plastering and painting do a second class job - pay attention to detail when you buy a property that he 'flipped'. After living 6 mo in a house that he'd completed am very afraid about 'what comes next'? Inexperienced guy that did a 'quick' job with - seems like throughout the house. The price that I paid was not 'for quick job' and I would advise you to really do a VERY thorough inspection of everything that he coordinated, finished for a major renovation project. He is prompt, professional and nice, and could see the benefit in using him for a small project that you can manage personally, but be very careful having this guy 'run the show' for a major renovation. Serious corners are being cut.
Description of Work: Total gut renovation of an older house.

Andrew was awesome, porch looks great. Only thing I'd say is he missed a couple phone calls, but was in no way flakey or difficult. I will certainly be calling him again for my next project.

Job was done on time, on budget and Andrew took the time to find vinyl posts that match the style and age of the home. I would definitely use Andrew again and highly recommend his work.

We had some damage to our deck from when an ice dam pulled our gutter off our roof. We got 3 estimates and Andrew was the best one, but that isn't the only reason we hired him. He did the most thorough inspection of the damage and we just had a good feel about him. (He had been recommended by a friend). We were able to schedule the work quickly and they were in and out in a day. He and his crew were professional and easy to work with. They even did some extra work not accounted for in his original estimate. We ended up getting some work done we had been meaning to get done that wasn't part of the damage. I am so happy we found Greenleaf and will definitely go back to them for future projects.
Description of Work: replaced rotted wood with PVC, rehung gutters, fixed deck damage from ice dams and falling gutter, installed risers in deck stairs, fixed deck supports,

They did a great job. We have used a couple of contractors as we renovated our home and he has definitely been the best. So we stopped using anybody else other than him.
Description of Work: Greenleaf Construction took out a wall, then fan tree, renovated the bathroom and put in cabinets.
He was excellent in every way. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Andrew built a "finish" staircase between the first and second floors. He installed treads, risers, skirtboards, handrails, balusters, oak flooring.
It went well. There was far more work than originally thought and they let us know throughout what was happening, trying to keep costs to a minimum.
Description of Work: All carpentry needed to prep an old three decker for painting, plus any other carpentry needs for the porch, windowsills, etc. Many shingles needed replacing.
He was originally referred from a co-worker. Gave Andrew a call and explained all the different projects, came over, looked at everything, then planned out in different stages. He's allways on time, cleans up all debris. We will be working on several other projects in the near future (old house, 1884). I am extremely happy with his work and would recomend to anyone else:)
Description of Work: *Open kitchen wall to dining room, installed header and framed out the wall. Insulate the ceiling above. *Installed new windows and insulate in dining room. *Installed new front door with side lites and insulate. * Installed new storm door for cellar, solid core door and insulate. *Installed new windows in basement and insulate. *Completely framed out the entire basement and new stairway from 1st floor.

Great experience. That was a two part project, first I needed to make our microwave to vent outside, which involved cutting the hole in the wall, etc. While doing that I noticed that the nearby window frame started to rot and asked Andrew to come back to fix it. On both occasions Andrew was on time, always called to confirm appointment and made sure that job was done right. His prices were quite good, I think. Will not hesitate to call him back again.
Description of Work: Install outside exhaust vent for the over-the-range microwave Replace window frame.
