Costco provides quality glasses at a very reasonable price. If you are not in a hurry to get your glasses done, and are not overly particular in the selection of frames you will find this a really good option.
I had a pair Flexon-type frames break on me right in the middle part over the nose. After figuring out that I could use an eraser to hold the glasses together I had to replace them.
I went to the optometrist at Cosco in Waltham for an examination. The examination started on time and was thorough. The price was a very reasonable $65. All very professional.
Then I went over to the counter to order my glasses. Costco has a limited quantity of frames, but there are enough styles to suit most people. I selected a pair Flexon-type frames similar to the one I had (It was a Van Heusen frame). Between the frame and the lenses after my insurance kicked in I paid $120. I believe that without insurance it would have been around $220. This is really cheap for the type of glasses that I bought.
One downside to their service is that it takes between a week and 10 days to get the glasses into the store. So this may be a consideration for anyone walking around with a stupid eraser on their nose.
When the glasses did arrive I found the fit and finish to be excellent. The glasses were as good as any I have ever had, the presciption that I got was spot on. Also the frames fit nearly perfectly and required almost no adjustments.
If you want to save money on glasses and have the time to wait, this is about the best deal going in Boston.

I like the price and the economy of it. They always have big selection and there are always interesting things that you don't expect.

They are great. There are generics and then there are generics. I take a medication daily and I had a reaction to one of the generics. They took it back and ordered another immediately. .It is not something they carry. They get it and it is always ready in 24 hours. Pricing and customer service are great

My wife has been going there for several years, and I have gone there once. The quality of their eye exams is very good. The quality of their frame and lenses was first rate at a very good price. It fitted reading glasses. They have bifocal for close reading, long distance, and driving. I bought bifocal sunglasses for the same price that I bought my 2 pair of glasses elsewhere, and I was very pleased with that. They were responsive, and their technician gave me very good technical advice about frames. They are very professional, and I have had good appointments with them.
