"Sorry you received a system checkup when you felt you had not wanted one. All appointments are set with the understanding that the day and time are good for the client. Every client is called the day before to confirm that the day and time is still good for them. If they do not answer the phone a message is left with the phone number to call to either reschedule or cancel. When the technician is leaving their previous call they call their next client to inform them of their expected arrival time to confirm the time still works for them. The $249 is a charge that covers the technicians time, education, truck, gas, insurance. It also covers the three people in the office that answer the phones and the two in the shop that support the technicians on the road by getting their required supplies, parts and equipment ready so they can go on the road to service our 13,900 clients. If a client disconnected their system and brought it to our office, the cost would be about $50. Our prices are competitive with other service industry companies. A little less then some and a little more then others. Your water system works more then any other appliance in you home. Every time you need water for anything in your home your water system is working. W If you service you system every two years that is only $0.35 per day or every year at $0.70 per day. To put that in perspective, one 12 ounce bottle of water costs about $1.49. If you took advantage of the option of paying over 3 months that would be only $83 per month or about $2.77 per day for 90 days. Thanks"
"Sorry you had a bad experience with one of our technicians. That being said, you are free to allow anyone or any company service your Kinetico System without any fear of jeopardizing your 10 year warranty. Although it is true we do not sell parts to plumbers or other water companies, if a part is needed we will always sell the part to the owner of the system and they can have others install it. In most cases, if the system is 10 years old or less the part will be covered by Kinetico's warranty and be supplied at no charge once the defective part is returned."
"We are not contractors so we are not issued a Massachusetts Contractors License. Our installers / Plumbers are all Massachusetts licensed plumbers. Water systems are no different then any other water using appliance. Although most water using appliances come with a 90 day warranty including labor, our warranty includes 120 days of free labor as well as a money back guarantee if the system does not work as advertised. After the first 120 days there is a 10 year, transferable, manufactures, warranty that covers the 100% replacement of any defective parts for ten years from the date of installation. We have been in business over 25 years with 12,800+ clients. I am sorry the above information was not clearly explained and will make sure we do a better job in the future."
1/17/2013 - Been 3 months and everything seems to still work great!
We had done our research and knew what to expect as far as the product and cost. We purchased the system and set a date for the
installation. The installer was very prompt and efficient. Upon finishing the installation he review how the system worked and left
the area clean and tidy.
He even called the home inspector to try to help
