Lloyd Hurley Wallpaper and Painting

Lloyd Hurley was hired to remove wallpaper and hang wallpaper in our home. We were given his name from a wallpaper store who said he was "a very good wallpaper hanger". It was a nightmare!!! Mistake after mistake after mistake. Excuse after excuse after excuse. My husband will be spending days correcting Hurley's errors (sizing on ceilings causing discoloration requiring repainting, poor wall preparatioin prior to installation requiring sanding and spackling, etc.) He blamed the wallpaper we chose for his mistakes and suggested we return every roll and order a wallpaper that would be "easier" for him to install. We fired him in the middle of our wallpapering project. We just couldn't take it anymore. We have hired a new wallpaper hanger who must remove the wallpaper Mr. Hurley hung and replace it with additional wallpaper we must now purchase. The new wallpaper hanger said the wallpaper we have is actually the "easiest to install", contrary to Mr. Hurley's assertions. If you want to save yourself time, money, and aggravation, do not hire Lloyd Hurley for any wallpapering project.
