I had a home for sale and the home was de-winterized. The faucet in the upper bathroom sink was left running to prevent frozen pipes in a bank foreclosure situation. From the date that the water was left running, until the home inspection, water somehow re-entered the plumbing faucet on the underside and then went into the vanity and eventually overflowed to the wall and down into the ceiling causing the ceiling to be damaged, the chandelier to sag and side wall damage. I had the contractor John come to the home and estimate the work required. The new buyer wanted the whole ceiling re-sheetrocked, mud and taped. John reviewed the work and was able to dry out the area, re-mud the ceiling and repair the wall. He also had to repair the area by the light fixture. All was done within the schedule time frame of the Purchase & Sale contract and the work was done fair and reasonably. John used his discretion to complete the work to the Buyers satisfaction and to mine as I was handing over the check for the completed work. The new Buyer and I are happy with the end result due to John's excellent work and work ethic.
