Mr. Burke was quick, efficient and explained everything to me.

We set up the roof repair via email and I got a quote in my mailbox which looked good so I booked the job. It was fixed in a reasonable amount of time and to my satisfaction.

They came out to the house, performed a walk around, discussed options with me, and provided an estimate. Very professional, down to earth, and friendly. Didn't do the "hard sell" or pressure in any way. Understood what I was trying to do and met that requirement. Came out to the house about 2-3 weeks later and performed the install within two hours. Very thorough. Cleaned up after themselves. Was able to pay by check via mail. Great job, great service, and would definately use again!

Mr. Burke came to our house and looked at the roof from the ground. He was prompt and courteous and took time to answer questions. He seemed very knowledgeable about roofing and commented on the quality of the roof currently on our house. He did not try to sell us on a new roof. His proposal was to "seal chimney flashing". While the price for this was relatively inexpensive, he did state that there was no guarantee that this proposed work would stop the leakage. So, we decided not to hire Burke since he didn't really offer a definite solution to what appears to be a fairly common problem.

It didn't get any further than the initial phone call. I asked for an estimate for a roof on a property I am managing and was told that the cost would be $150 but that they would deduct it from the balance if they got the job. I think this is bad business practice considering the roof is going to be replaced and I am the decision maker. It's common practice when spending large amounts of money for a total roof replacement to get multiple estimates. If I called 3 roofers and had to pay for estimates I would already be out $450 without them so much as picking up a nail or a hammer. It just tells me that they either aren't taking me seriously or they just don't want the business.

Ralph and his crew were very responsive and made sure the completed job was of excellent quality. His pricing was the most reasonable and he took the extra time needed to consult with others to ensure the project would be done properly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and if I need roofing services again, I certainly will call on him. There was an extra charge due to the poor condition of the original roof but there was no way to know that until the old roofing material was removed.

He wrote up the estimate right there and gave some advice on possible repairs and from a pricing perspective he was not extremely expensive nor cheap but seemed to be clear on what needed to get done. I haven't got any work done yet, but surely he would be on top of the list when we do get around to doing our roof.

They brought out samples for me to pick from. They are a fabulous company that is helpful and quick and was a pleasure to work with.

.We were having a leak in our roof and Ralph Burke was one of three estimates I received on this job. His was the best, and he was very honest and happy to answer my questions prior to selecting him. He generally makes himself available and calls back upon leaving a message, even if it took a day or two.Mr. Burke takes pride in his work and I feel comfortable that I could go to him for any issues I had with his work. Since we were having the leak (any time it rained or snowed and melted we 'd see water damage in our ceiling), Ralph prioritized our job. I was concerned with ice dams and a good way to mitigate their effect, and he explained different options to me. Only the front roof was leaking, and the roof was about 17 years old (not so old it would have otherwise needed to be replaced), so he gave me the option to only re-do the front of the roof and leave the back for a later time, which worked better for my budget. As soon as the job was done, the leaks stopped. I will be going to Ralph Burke to complete the back half of the roof.

Perfect. Did everything on the list plus more. Unbelievably conscientious. Could not ask for more from a contractor.

Reroofed one section of our new home as it was more badly damaged than rest. Work done quickly and professionally while we were at work - when we got home in the evening the only sign they had been was the shiny new patch of asphalt tiles on the roof. Good advice on choosing tiles we should be able to easily match later when we do the remainder of the roof. Reasonable price - a little cheaper than other quote we got. Scheduling a little erratic... Had to wait a while after quote and then got call day before saying "we're coming tomorrow early"... Didn't really matter as we didn't need to be in for them to do the work.

They're good, professional and have good pricing. They are polite and very responsive, coming within a day of my phone call.

There was some confusion here since there are two Ralph J. Burke roofing companies in the Wakefield area. As I found out one of these belong to one of the son's (I'll call him Burke 2) who went his own way and the other is the original roofing company that was run by his father and is now run by another brother (Burke !). Both companies offered similar services. Burke 1 did have a slightly lower price. Response from Burke 2 was better as well as follow up to secure the job. If you can get by the confusion I think that either choice would be acceptable.

We had a significant leak in our roof that was getting worse. After contacting several companies, two came out to make estimates for the repair. The first company quoted us several thousand dollars for a partial roof replacement. Ralph Burke roofer came out 2 days after the call. The Burke roofer came to our house, went into the attic to see the leak, and then viewed the leak from the street. He then had an idea and pulled his ladder off his truck. A few minutes later he descended and claimed the roof was fixed. We incredulously paid the $75 service fee and he said to call if it still leaked. Over one year later, the leak has not reappeared and we are still thrilled that the Burke roofer quickly and correctly diagnosed the leak and charged a very reasonable fee for fixing a roof leak. Thank you Burke!

He is very thorough, professional, does good work, and hire reputable workers. They are very neat and clean up after themselves. They give excellent customer service and are very accommodating. I recommend them to friends and family.

I had roof damage on my rental property from hurricane Sandy. I called several roofers to assess the damage. Most only did complete roof replacements not repairs. Ralph Burke returned my call promptly. He assessed the damage and gave me a reasonable estimate. I accepted the proposal and the job was done perfectly shortly after. Ralph Burke Roofing will be my only call next time I need roof work on any of my properties.

Dan Burke called the same day I called him to request an estimate. Some shingles blew off our roof from the hurricane. He came to look at the roof, gave me an estimate and recommended a mason to replace and/or repair our chimney. That was in need of replacement. The chimney person was quick to respond and then we agreed to have the work done. The Burkes gave us houses to look at to see their previous work and also to look at the colors of the shingles. Mr. Burke coordinated the chimney work to be done before the roof work. The chimney was done in one day, torn down and rebuilt from the roof up. The company was excellent and cleaned up completely. Mr. Burke then came about two weeks later, and completed our roof in 2 days. This company is totally professional, very personable and responsible. They cleaned our yard, driveway and neighbors yards where the roofing material fell. They covered the neighbor's home with tarp so as not to damage it. They were the best contractor I have ever dealt with. It is a family business and I felt very comfortable communicating and working with them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof.

Dan Burke and Ralph Burke Jr. and crew of four more guys showed up as agreed early Monday morning and worked til sundown - a heckuva long day for them. They came back and finished by 1pm on Tuesday. They were all professional and focused. They placed big tarps to catch most of the debris and since I had two layers to remove, there was a lot. Afterwards they cleaned up as well as I could possibly expect. I have found three or four nails around since then and picked up many small pieces of old shingle and tar paper from the lawn and shrubbery but believe me, they did a fine job of cleaning up. After they left, I realized there were three things I needed them to do: put an"s" curve in a downpipe from the one of the new gutters (as there had been previously), widen the drain hole in that gutter and leave me a few extra shingles so I would have the matching color in case I ever needed a repair. I called Dan and he agreed to do these things. He came down a couple weeks later after the extra work had subsided from Hurricane Sandy and he did all three things for me. The roof was done a week before Sandy and yes, it held up! Note: I live in Milton and Burke Roofing is based in Wakefield, a good distance away. But they are willing to travel and they did a fine job as far as I can tell. I chose them for multiple reasons: highly recommended in both Angie's List and the Boston Consumers' Checkbook; I liked the look of their workmanship after taking a ride to look at houses they had roofed. I had asked Mrs. Ralph Burke Sr., who handles the phones for this family-run company, for two or three houses each with the colors I was interested in. She gave me a list and I plugged the addresses into my GPS. It was worth the time. I also checked out some other roofers' work and liked Burke's better. They also were willing to do the job within a week or two after I gave them the green light. Another roofer I liked was very vague on when he would have time. Also, I had done Internet research and it seems that CertainTeed Landmark has a somewhat better quality reputation than GAF Timberline which is another popular brand. Dan Burke, by the way, was my main contact and was very good to deal with. His brother Ralph was equally pleasant.

I am very pleased with Burke Roofing. I dealt mostly with Dan, but his brother was also there on the day of the work. I had about a million questions, and multiple changes/special requests throughout the planning of what work I wanted done. Dan answered ALL of my questions without making me feel bad about it... and in good humor. They did quality work, at a reasonable price.

Excellent service and excellent work. RJ Burke was the only company that responded to my request for a roof inspection on my new condo. He made himself available on short notice and was very professional and friendly when we met. The seller was onsite during the inspection and Ralph made it clear that he was working at my request and not for the seller. The inspection took place on a Friday and Ralph said he could do the work "next week." I called him on Monday and he performed the work the very next day. Great service, friendly owner, excellent answering service (called me back after hours to confirm my appointment). A+

I made calls to 5 roofers off Angies list. Ralph was the only one I didn't have to chase down to get an estimate. Ralph came out to the house and called me to discuss options with the roof. The job consisted of adding a rubber roof to my front porch and repitching the gutters. I had recently rebuild the porch except for the roof. I need to move the downspouts to the side of the porch. The porch roof doesn't align well with the rest of the house roof(had some sagging which I corrected when building the porch). Ralph repitched the gutters and moved the spouts. After the next rain I noticed the gutters were not moving the water. Ralph came back out to the house to fix them. Im very happy with his work and professionalism. Ralph cares about quality of the work and customer satisfaction.. I would/will recommend him to anyone I know who needs roofing/gutter work.

They have a good reputation in the area. They were better than anybody else. I have recommended them to 2 or 3 people already.

They were really professional. They cleaned up after themselves. They just did a super, great job.

Burke was first to respond to phone call and first on site. Took time to discuss numerous roofing and gutter issues. Said when his men would be out to perform service. Service was performed on one of the two days indicated. No debris was left behind. Shingles were not a perfect match, but service was timely. I would use Burke again.
