Lawn A Mat

I made a call to inquire about services and no one ever returned my call

I contacted a few lawn service companies and Lawn A Mat was one of the companies that came out to ESTIMATE charges to do clean up and mowing. I very specifically told him I'd call him when I made my mind up. He suggested he come out to do a test mow and I said I would contact him when I knew what I wanted to do. Despite that, he came - uninvited and unbeknownst to me - a few times (during the end of the season and during a v. dry spell) and after the third trip, he left a bill. I was shocked. I never even knew he'd been there and I do not believe there was any misunderstanding. He told me after I called and asked him why I had a bill, that I'd called him in the past and that he thought I made a practice of wasting tradespeople's time. I actually did recognize him when he arrived and knew when I saw him that I didn't want to use him - he was pushy the first time and worse the second. Apparently he'd already made up his mind that he wasn't going to go away without getting some business out of his visit. I've never in all my years of homeownership had someone come to do work without approval. Creepy.

They did a great job, communicated well, I felt completely comfortable through the whole process. i am proud of the appearance of my property, and all the complements from friends and neighbors. i have high expectations, and Peter from Lawn A Mat exceded them all !!!
