Marius and his crew demonstrated excellent workmanship and professionalism. They were attentive to the homeowners' needs and worked around other projects that were happening simultaneously. Good communication on scheduling and even did some weekend work to get us on track.

TL;DR - Heritage did excellent work, but have awkward scheduling policies on smaller jobs. After experiencing persistent mold build-up on my bathroom ceiling, I decided to install a more powerful bathroom fan. Heritage Improvements came out to provide a quote promptly, as well as explain why I should also consider replacing the existing flexible fan exhaust pipe with a solid pipe. Their quoted price seemed reasonable. When I agreed to hire them to do the work, their scheduling policy was a little unusual. They required a $500 deposit to put us on their backlog of work, but refused to commit to specific date ahead of time on the grounds that this was a small project that they would be fitting as they had time around their larger projects. I put the deposit down at the beginning of July, they finally informed me they were ready to do the work in October. Once the time came for them to do the work, they arrived promptly and did the work well. They even took the time investigate some disconnected piping we discovered in the ceiling area once they opened it up, to determine if that could have been contributing to our moisture problems. They clearly took their work seriously, and I have no complaints about the quality of the work. My new bathroom fan is both quieter and much more effective than my old one at managing the moisture levels.

We hired Steve and Marius to gut our master bathroom after they were recommended by an upstairs neighbor. I have worked with around a half dozen contractors on a half dozen bathroom reno's in my lifetime, Steve and Marius set a new standard for quality and professionalism. The work was done in the time quoted (amazing!) in the budget quoted (it's like a magic trick!) and they only worked on our project during its duration (no leaving site for a few days here and there to work on something else.) they worked around difficult vendors and materials with absolute grace and professionalism and guided us through each series of choices with patience and experience. The bathroom is absolutely stunning and the craftsmanship is undeniable. They have even come by 6 months after the fact to tweak things that fixtures salespeople forgot, or that fell out of alignment due to the nature of working in an old building. short version: these guys are stuck with us for life, I wouldn't go to anyone else if I needed work done on my house.

It is going very well! their attention to detail is amazing. They bring in jobs on time which doen't always happen. They are a high end builder so they never take the cheapest route, but always ask for my permission before moving forward. They were very easy to work with and very nice guys. I would highly recommend them!

From initial quotes to the final inspection of the projects we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Steve and Marius walked us through each step of process so there were no surprises. Worked closely with all plumbers, electricians, flooring and tile suppliers, as well as the companies that we purchased appliances and hardware from so that installation went smoothly. Always reliable and professional. High quality workmanship. Great care for the rest of the house while under construction, cleaning up at the end of each day. I was impressed with their dedication. Once our roof was opened they pushed to finish the dormer before a new wave of rainstorms were predicted. It was one of the hottest summers on record.

It was excellent. The prices are very clear, the workmanship was excellent, the communication was great, it was thorough, and they follow through our questions and called us, they coordinated all the stuffs.

Excellent!  All subcontractors were managed well by Steve.  The project was completed beautifully and professionally.  Steve and his partner came up with a couple of creative solutions to potentially sticky problems in this older home.

Approximately two week project due to need to special order some unexpected flooring supplies. Always arrived as expected finish result excellent.

As noted above, the bathrooms are gorgeous. The workmanship of this crew is outstanding. Every detail is perfect. They pay great attention to their work and make sure that the customer is completely satisfied at each step along the way.  They do everything they say they will do. And they do it in a timely way. Steve Pearl gave us accurate start dates and finish dates. The crew arrived and left on time each day and was productive throughout the day. Moreover, they cleaned up exceptionally well at the end of each workday. 
We cannot praise this company highly enough. They are true professionals in every aspect of their work.

My experience goes back with him when he was the installer used through Home Depot. One of the doors was a cellar door that had rotted out and was really beat up. He had to do a lot of carpentry work to make the new door fit. He did a wonderful job and put in a new frame. Steve is really wonderful! He is very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to explain to you what will and won’t work well. He is honest and has advised me if a job was not cost effective for me. He is the type of guy that I can really trust and recommend to others.

We needed to complete an emergency bathroom renovation for medical reasons. Steve Pearl saved the day. His estimate was slightly higher than others we received, but it was worth every penny. The necessary work was completely quickly and professionally. The individuals who work with and for Steve were reliable, pleasant, and highly-skilled. The work itself was first-rate. Steve and his associates use the best materials and give great attention to detail. Steve appears to work around the clock; he stayed in close touch about every aspect of the project via e-mail and phone calls. He is a natural problem-solver and clearly enjoys his work. Steve provided great peace of mind during a stressful time. This was an excellent experience.

Steve Pearl and his crew delivered top notch work at more than a reasonable price. In the course of the job, no detail went overlooked, setup and cleanup was done each day with unerring care, and the quality of the finished product is impeccable. Steve is careful to ask lots of questions, ensuring that the end result of his work is entirely to the customer's liking. In a job that posed a couple of challenges along the way (unforeseen pipe upon removing soffits, had to reposition exterior ventilation for stove hood, ceiling-hung cabinets requiring lowering, etc.), Steve proved to be a masterful carpenter with the experience and creativity to deal with whatever unforeseen circumstances arose. And at no point in the process did Heritage deviate from their promised price or timeline. Add to that the unwavering professionalism and cheery demeaor of Steve's crew and plumbing & electrical contractors and I doubt I ever need call upon any other contractor/handyman for in my Boston apartment!

We were very happy with what he did. His price was competitive, but he did everything to the quality we asked for, and he did it exactly on time. He said he would be done Friday by 5:00pm, and he was done Friday at 5:00pm.
