Fred was prompt in responding to my emailed inquiry to schedule a winterization service. I had emailed over the weekend, he called me Monday, and I was in his books for a Tuesday appointment. Great for someone like me who loves ticking things off my things-to-do list. He promised his crew would call a half hour before arriving so I'd have time to meet them at my house, and everything went as he said. Met at 11:00, service done by 11:25. $70 for the entire service, although I understand there is a 10% discount if you prepay as a bundle for the winterization and spring start-up service. Price seemed fair as the best I could find online was $60 (that provider was too far away though, and whatever it was $10). Would definitely hire again.

Even during the busy season, Mike Shiner made time to "make it snow" so I could take a video and picture for my boys with the spray from the winterization effort as though it was a spooky setting combined with our Halloween decorations.  Mike was a professional and did the job well.  Personable, to boot.
We always have full confidence in Fred Brizee (the owner) and his team.  From our initial installation to maintenance items, there's no one else we'd turn to.

I had an 8am appointment to turn on the sprinkler system. Mike called to tell me they where on their way. Brendan and Mike came and I met Fred later. They spoke with me first before replacing any sprinkler heads for my okay. The system runs great! Their professionalism also being  pleasant and polite I would rate 100%. They left my yard looking better than before they came to my home. They worked non stop till the job was done. I would highly recommend this company. Being on time and calling before coming doesn't happen to often with other companies.

I had trouble finding a company to come out and diagnose the problem to my system. Everyone was busy doing sprinkler system fall blowouts of lines and would not schedule me until the Spring. Designer Sprinkler was the only one that would fit me in despite being busy as well. They were prompt, friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced a bad solenoid. As they were doing the repair, they answered all the questions I had regarding the repair. I was very satisfied with this company and I will use them again.

The entire experience was extremely positive. Fred and his crew always turned up when promised. All work was completed in a timely manner. Any calls were returned promptly and questions were answered without hesitation. The plumber who works with Designer Lawn Sprinkler was also very professional and efficient, arrived on time, and kept us updated on the entire process.
We were alerted there would likely be some adjustments required once the system had been operating for a while; e.g., redirecting sprinkler heads, changing pressure, etc. When that situation arose, one of the crew was scheduled to perform the adjustments. On the given day, we were delayed at an appointment, but because Mike called (as promised) before coming to the house, he was able to adjust his on-site time and complete the work on the same day. When a second and quot;tweakingand quot; was required, two members of the crew arrived and worked on the placement of the sprinkler heads until they were sure we were satisfied. This included moving and replacing two units and restoring the area around them, complete with new grass seed! All this work was covered under the original contract as Fred had assured us it would be.

This is a family owned and operated business, so we always had someone on the premises who was invested in the success of the company. A definite plus. We would absolutely recommend Designer to anyone looking for a lawn sprinkler company.

I selected him based on the reviews I had read and he completed the job exactly as scheduled with outstanding responsiveness. He has responded quickly to my follow-up requests to adjust the timing of the sprinkler and I could not be happier. Previous reviews and this one are a testament to his high quality, competitive price and outstanding service. A month later and the lawn looks great.

I am the type of person who researchs everything before I make a purchase or have work done around my house. I had several companies come by the house to provide me with estimate. Most of which I found via Angie's list. Fred the owner of Designer lawn sprinkler was extremely accommodating to meet me since I have a very unpredictable work schedule. He explained what the job consisted of and explained reasoning behind using specific heads in certain areas. Fred also explained how he will be at the job the entire time which was very important to me, and also stressed that he would not accept any money up front, and payment at the end of the job when I was fully satisfied, that proved to me he was extremely confident in his quality of work.I was extremely pleased and felt very comfortable after talking with Fred and decided to use them. The job took approximately 4-5 hours. My yard was in great shape after the install, much better than I anticipated. Fred accommodated my work schedule again to meet me late one evening to train me how to program the sprinkler system. I would highly recommend Designer Lawn Sprinkler to anyone looking for a new install or a just routine service!

Fred and his team did a great job on our new irrigation system! Fred came out personally to quote the system and was very knowledgeable about what I needed and what I didn't need. He was very honest and delivered exactly what he said he would at the best price. He and his crew arrived exactly when they said they would and completed the job the same day. After they finished I could barely see the trenches and after 1 week most of the grass seed they planted covered any remaining marks. Fred followed up on several occasions to see how things were going and never hesitated to come back if I needed assistance. He stands by his work and provides great service all year round. Review of Designer Sprinkler
If you are reading this review because you're trying to find someone to install a sprinkler system, relax: you are done. Feel free to solicit bids from other vendors just to satisfy your curiosity, but you will not need them. Designer Sprinker installed my home sprinkler system, and I could not be more satisfied with the job they did in terms of professionalism, quality, and price.
(1) Professionalism. They deliver timely estimates, they show up on time for appraisals, and again on the day of the job.
(2) Speed. They were done in less than one day. And that is not to say they did rushed or slipshod work. Fred Brizee (owner/manager) has a crew of half a dozen trusted, long-time colleagues, and they worked quickly and efficiently.
(3) Price. The quote was competitive, especially since it included the necessary cost of a subcontracted plumber (for installation of backflow preventer).
(4) US labor. Not to put too fine a point on it, but all members of the work crew were Boston natives. I have no issues with naturalized citizens or green card holders performing honest work, but I think we do our community a disservice by hiring undocumented immigrants at below-market wages. It puts those who play by the rules at a competitive disadvantage.

Designer also coordinated with a plumber to make sure that all the necessary water lines were accessible with secondary meter ready for the irrigation system installation. Installation was very quick - in a day. In every respect the service was reliable and professional. Now we have a full lawn (which the system watered from seeds). And all plants and grass areas are covered from regular scheduled watering. In addition, Designer offered to come to our home and drain the lines before winter frost sets in - to prevent lines from freezing and possibly bursting. A very useful service.

He did a good a job. They came and did their work, it was fine. It wasn't a big job. They did a fine job. I would recommend them.

TI've been using Designer for 7+ years. The first time I used Designer to install an entire irrigation system from scratch, Fred and his team were timely, professional, fast, and so clean/perfect that you could not even tell they had ever been there to dig up the ground, lay the pipes, and connect them all into the house. Each season when they come to turn off the system, I hardly know they've been there - they always check/tune the system each visit and when I have had to call them to make some changes . Rain or shine, they are prompt, quick, fair priced, and just all-around nice people to work with. The second,time I hired them was to repair an existing irrigation system in a new house that was severely damaged by excavation. Again, they could not have been better, quicker, cleaner, or more professional. They really know their stuff. I have also have them come back on occasion to replace a rain sensor, upgrade my control unit, or retune the sprinkler head and they always go the extra mile and charge a very fair price.

The experience with them was very good. They showed up when they said they would, and did what they said they would. They delivered the quality that they said they would. I am actually going to use them again for a maintenance program.

We have had such wonderful service with this company. They are responsive, the quote is reasonable and the work is performed perfectly. They will always return a phone call and address any concerns. I cannot say enough nice things about this company and the people that work there.
