Boston Best Construction

Eduardo and his team were great. We had storm damage to our detached garage, and Boston Best had the best quote and timeline for the project. The only snag we ran into was the permitting process, but that was not the contractor’s fault. We really appreciated that Eduardo stuck with the original estimate despite the 1+ year delay in getting the permit, when we’re sure that materials costs had likely gone up. We also appreciated that Eduardo threw in the vinyl siding for the garage at no extra cost even though it was not in the original plan. Regarding the work itself, the subcontractors and workers did a fantastic job, and worked through some of the coldest weather of the season to stay on the timeline. Overall, we were very happy with Boston Best and will contact them first when the next project comes up.

New detached garage built

We hired Boston Best Construction to modify our bathroom for our handicapped son. It involved a complete gut of our existing bathroom to create a roll in shower and give us space to maneuver a wheelchair. We started our project right before Thanksgiving and most of the work was done between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are special challenges to getting work done during this time of year so our project is not quite finished. All of the companies Boston Best Construction hired to work on our project were professional and highly skilled. The tile job in particular was challenging and turned out beautifully. Eduardo is responsive to questions and helped us make the right choices with materials and design. While our project is not complete, I don't anticipate having any issues with completing the project. We have had a very good experience with Boston Best Construction and would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a home improvement project and would use them again in the future.

After sending our project drawings and scope sheets to 17 general contractors and meeting with several, we were happy to finally meet Eduardo with Boston's Best who responded to our request for a proposal within a few days for a walk thru that followed with a detailed estimate within a week. Our project consisted of a full gut and remodel of our existing 2,000 sf 100 year old post and beam home, we also demoed our existing 1 story garage, poured a new foundation with expanded footprint at the garage area and added a new 2 story garage addition with 700 sf in-law apartment above the garage that has a kitchenette, full bath, and 2nd story deck. Boston's Best did a great job with working thru existing conditions and design challenges with insightful recommendations and showed great competence in working with permitting agencies and local officials to give us a successful project. Throughout the project, Boston's Best was available to meet regularly to review project status and asked questions about what we wanted to do to finish the project to the highest standards. I look at our house and am very happy with the finished product.

Highly recommended BBC got any type of project , I sold my house less than 30. Days after completion, looking forward to hire them again for my 2k19 project.

I am 100% satisfied with the work performed by Boston Best Construction. The company owner, Eduardo Muniz, was present and communicative throughout the process. The sub-contractors ---framers, electricians, insulators, carpenters, plasterers---were all excellent and professional. The work went well and everything looks beautiful. Furthermore, Eduardo did everything the correct way, getting the required permits and inspections, which makes me feel assured that the work was done correctly and to code. I highly recommend this company and I plan on using them again for more work on my house.

Eduardo and team built two bathrooms in my house, and they did a great job with it. They were attentive to my details and made sure that the work was top notch. Eduardo is responsive to all questions and takes an interest in making the client happy. He worked with my schedule and met with me before/after work to understand my needs and bring my vision to fruition. Being very attentive to detail, I often asked for something to be done differently, and he was not hesitant to redo the work again. Great value and reasonably priced!

This was out first project with BBC and Eduardo was the right guy at the right time. We had a contractor that was inexperienced and unable to manage a large multi- unit building project. I inexplicably did not award the job to Eduardo at the outset and regret that decision immensely. He stepped in to a tough situation and quickly took over where the other GC left the job. Eduardo was professional and the quality that he delivered exceeded my expectations. His communication was great. I hired him for my next job.

We just finished a complete gut renovation of our first house with BBC and we are very happy with the results. There was not a room in the house that we did not touch during the course of this project. Throughout the process, Eduardo Muniz was very professional and courteous with me and my wife. Eduardo was very hip and modern in his design ideas. He helped us configure and design our home to maximize the space and meet our needs. Thanks to BBC, we love our new home and look forward to many years inside this house.

Eduardo was very responsive from the beginning. I posted my job on Thumbtack just to get an idea what my costs would be. I hadn't even decided if I would build it yet. Several vendors responded but in addition to responding, Eduardo wanted to come over, see the place, and make sure he was helping me through the initial decision making.. This was very helpful to me and helped me sort through the various quotes I got. Any questions I had he responded. And just talking too him, he exuded an air of confidence that inspired trust.

I was not disappointed.. After successful HOA approval, city design review and permit approval (no easy feat.. took over a month for city to schedule us in), Eduardo showed up with his carpenter, Claudio, who would be the expert carpenter he found to execute. Claudio was amazing. He immediately attacked the job with a professionalism and passion I have never seen in construction. The pergola is in Ipe wood.. The hardest wood there is. Claudio loves to work with wood and although Ipe can be difficult to work with he is able to handle it with no problems.

Eduardo was in communication every step of the way. In fact I went on vacation and got weekly updates with pictures. During the process Claudio had many ideas how to make it better than the original. Eduardo supported this process and allowed Claudio to do his very best.

The end result speaks for itself. I've had several friends come over and admire their work and some of them will most likely hire Eduardo for their next project.

Finally, once final inspection was done, Eduardo explained to me that due to his desire to do the job right, he didn't make as much as he anticipated but he wanted to be clear that even so he stood by his original estimate. This is a fantastic general contractor to work with in my opinion. Rarely is construction delivered better than you anticipate.

Eduardo was extremely attentive to my need to get the work on my porch done before winter set in. He finished the work on time, and he was always responsive to my questions and concerns. The price quoted was fair, somewhere in the middle of other quotes I received from other contractors, but he didn't charge me more when there were some unexpected add-on costs, and I really appreciated that. The quality of the work is excellent, and I look forward to hiring him again on other large projects that I need done.

We (my fiancé and I) hired Boston Best Construction (BBC) to complete a kitchen island and small remodel project in our Boston condo. We consulted with several contractors and ultimately settled on BBC due to the competitive price, references, and availability. We worked with Eduardo and his team throughout the duration of the project. We are very happy with the outcome. 

The Quote & Final Price. Of those we contacted, BBC took the least amount of time to get us a quote. The quote was also the most detailed of the ones we received. Eduardo included renderings of the island remodel and surrounding space as well as a detailed breakdown of materials and labor. The quoted price was very competitive ? it was among the lowest. BBC completed the project for the quoted price in spite of a few unexpected complications we encountered along the way.

Quality of work. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work performed. We were very up front about certain key requirements going into the project and Eduardo did a very good job making sure to adhere to them. For example, we wanted to make sure the island cabinetry matched our older, discontinued, cabinetry. Eduardo was able to match our own cabinets very closely without impacting the price. We also had a number of other very specific requirements regarding cabinetry arrangement and Eduardo stuck to it perfectly. We got what we asked for. 

Communication and experience. Eduardo and his crew kept the dialogue going throughout the project. We spoke regularly via telephone, email, and text message. They listened to our questions and concerns along the way and made adjustments based on our input. They were very good at explaining when certain things made sense and when they didn?t. Eduardo and his team were not afraid to speak up when they thought their input would lead to a better result. For example, Eduardo and one of his team members (Daniel) had some suggestions about how to cut the granite to wrap around some steam pipes adjacent to the island. This resulted in a much better finished appearance and the additional cost was negligible. We are glad we listened to their suggestions as the final result is better than we had expected. 

We had a great experience with BBC and would use them again. We recommend them for anyone considering any type of project for their home.

Eduardo is very knowledgeable, detail oriented, and trustworthy. He will make sure the project gets done right. We had an extensive basement remodel project and interviewed a number of contractors before deciding on Boston Best Construction. Their team did an amazing job, not just with the basics, but even doing a full custom floor-to-ceiling bookshelf build, a custom recessed projection screen, etc. Would highly recommend.
