I would like to preface this review by stating I am a young homeowner who works very hard for her money and to be able to invest in nice things. When paying for top quality, I expect top quality in terms of materials and in customer service, unfortunately, neither of which I received at Alpha Granite. I chose an expensive quartzite stone, and I was really excited about it. After spending two years renovating the first floor of my home these countertops were to be the icing on the cake. I paid just shy of $8,000 on these once beautiful countertops. Fast forward to installation day. The guys who did the install were very kind and meticulous. No complaints with the stone placement and install. I did ask them if there was anything I needed to know about caring for the stone. They assured me it was durable quartz and to just avoid placing hot items directly onto the surface. In the following weeks, almost immediately the stains started appearing. "Water rings" from anything containing oil. When I emailed asking for advice I was told they would try to help but that I should have done my "due diligence" as a customer. I found this to be insulting as I have cared for these surfaces, constantly wiping them down and making sure they look pristine. I felt like I was being blamed. Various oil is commonly used in the kitchen, and within a month there were 5 patches of SERIOUS stains. I tried to remove them with baking soda, putty, and nothing. They are there for good. I emailed alpha again and they offered me a "sealer" which costs $600 and that they would "look to see what could be done" about the stains. I was upset because at $8000, one would think the countertops would be protected from staining, especially since I asked if I needed to do anything specific for the quartz. I responded and said yes let's do that (the $600 sealer)... I was willing to do anything, even pay more to make this not keep happening. I was upset because I was never told about this sealing service before, I asked to speak to the business owner and he did return my call. He said he would "try to help" but he would have to order a special stain remover and he would call me back when it arrived. That was the last I heard from Alpha Granite. Never got a call back, follow up email, or even an apology. I have waited 8 months to see if they would ever get back to me and nothing. I have never written a negative review in my life but I am so disappointed as I feel like my $8,000 investment into the value of my home has been ruined beyond repair. I am just truly sad and would never wish this on anyone. If you are looking for countertops I would suggest you look elsewhere so this doesn't happen to you :(

Everyone in the organization is very professional, courteous and efficient. To begin, Maressa does a superb job in project-management which entailed excellent direction as well as a very competitive estimate and realistic schedule. On the delivery end, Derek and Nathan provided exceptional direction, measuring and installation services. If you're considering new countertops, this is definitely the organization to partner with.

We got the 40sqft granite countertop deal for $1800, our countertops were almost exactly 40sqft.  At the end of the day the countertops look Ok but make sure you pay attention to what they are doing and inspect the work closely before you let the installers leave. I feel like the service could have been better and the process could have been easier.
The first thing that annoyed me was that the person who came out and measured told me he could do the backsplash over our island without a problem. When the installer showed up he said he could not do it because the piece was too small and it would crack. I feel like I had to persuade him to try it or he was just going to tell me it was going to crack and forget about it. I had to convince him that the granite was here, I already paid for it, I already paid you to install it, just give it a try and if it cracks it cracks.  He reluctantly gave it a try and ended up doing a good clean cut without cracking it and now I have my back splash.
After installation I noticed small cracks all over the stone which turns out to be what are called Fissures. I, who has never purchased granite before had no idea what a fissure was until I did some research after the countertops were installed. I found out that the stone we chose is known to contained large amounts of these cracks. I will take some blame on this one because maybe I should have done more research on how to pick out granite and what to look for prior to purchasing but I also think the salesman should have mentioned that the stone we chose was notorious for fissures. I can also almost guaranty that the slab we picked out at the yard is not the one we ended up getting so driving out to ?choose our slab? was a giant waste of time.
These may all be little things that could have been better but the one thing that really got me aggravated was that they did not shim the countertops at all. Like most houses my floors are not completely level, my cabinets were shimmed but still not perfect. There was two foot section of countertop that was cantilevered not being supported by anything and another 1 foot section not supported on the island which would squeak when you leaned on it. I understand the cabinets not being completely level is not their fault but If I pay someone to install countertops I should not be the one going under the cabinets cutting and placing shims to make sure the countertops were supported correctly.
Lastly we paid $50 for the sink cut out to be made into a cutting board, he said he was very busy and backed up but it has been over two months and still have not received it.  I understand they are giving cheap deals so they are looking to cut corners were they can in order to make money and for the price I was not expecting top notch countertops however I feel small improvements
that won?t cost them much (or anything) would improve their customers experience.

They came to my house, made templates for the kitchen counter tops, then invited me to select the stone I wanted and the edge profile. Once the stone had been milled, they did the installation. Everything went beautifully. They were a pleasure to work with, highly professional and hard working. They did everything they could to accommodate my contractor's schedule, to make the entire remodeling job easy. I highly recommend them.

Was done first time , however there was a visible damage to one section of the countertop. Called them back and insisted that this needs to be replaced. They obliged and did the repair by replacing the damaged section. Delayed the overall schedule as they had to come back after a week. However the overall service was good.

Excellent all around.  Nice shop for viewing samples, helpful staff.  Cut granite perfectly on site, and seam on counter between two pieces is nearly invisible.  Holding up very well more than a year later.  Highly recommend.

We worked with Fabio and really liked him.  We had visited two showrooms and then stopped in to see Alpha Granite based on Angie's List reviews.  Fabio was very low pressure and laid back--which was different than the previous two we had seen.   After picking out our granite at one of the suppliers, Fabio was very prompt in getting Daniel to our house to do the template.  When we went to the fabrication building in Acton to place the templates on our slab of granite, we saw another slab that we liked better.  Fabio arranged for us to switch out our slabs at no additional charge.  After doing so, however, he noticed a defect in the new slab and brought it to our attention.  Even though we probably would not have noticed the defect and that he stood to make more profit from the second slab, Fabio convinced us that the defect was one that could cause problems in the future and that it would not be prudent to switch slabs.  We agreed with his analysis and appreciated his honesty in bringing the defect to our attention.   Because of the delay caused by our switching slabs, our installation was set back 10 days.  However, we did not hold that against them as we brought upon the delay in finalizing the slab choice.
Once the installation was scheduled, the guys arrived on time and did a quick and clean job installing.  Moreover, because of the delay, Fabio sent out the installers to put in a granite window which we wanted at no additional charge to us.
We were very satisfied by the installation and quality of the work.  Fabio was very easy to work with and very honest and straightforward.  It is a family business and we found Fabio to take pride in his work and strive for customer satisfaction.

Working with Alpha granite has been a pleasure. I would highly recommend them. There was never a moment when I was sorry that I chose them to do this job for us. Fabio, the salesperson, was helpful and easy to work with and always available. Whenever I sent an email to the Main Street office for a quote on different granite, (and believe me, I did it plenty as it is not easy to choose from so many beautiful granites) he sent me an estimate that same day... Sometimes immediately!! He never pushed and always treated me with respect and patience. I chose the piece of granite from the providers he sent me to, and two weeks later I have a beautiful granite counter top. The installers were very polite and hardworking and resolved some small issues with our counter base right on site and completed the job within a couple of hours. AND ALL THIS DURING THE DAYS PRECEDING THANKSGIVING!! Wow!!
Normally, my husband and I are  "do it ourselvers" as we have had some less than satisfying experiences with hiring professionals in the
past, but obviously installing granite ourselves was not an option! Working with Alpha Granite was a positive experience throughout. Thank you Alpha Granite.

I initially wasn't completely satisfied with color of the peacock green granite that was initially purchased.  After discussing this with Fabio the owner of Alpha Granite he offered to allow me to select replacement granite countertops at no additioanl charge.  This is really an example of outstanding customer service!  I am extremely happy with the customer service provided by Alpha Granite!!

Alpha Granite replaced the old Formica tops on our vanities with granite.
Everything went great, our new countertops look outstanding!
We worked with Fabio, the owner, to obtain estimate and then to select stone.
The turn time to manufacture the counters + install was probably a few weeks.
The installers came as planned (yesterday), the counter tops were installed without any issues and they look amazing!...Perfect job!
Also, when finished, the installers cleaned up - sweeping and vacuuming.  I offered to deal with it but they insisted on leaving the house as they found it.
I would also note, their price was very competitive.
I would not hesitate to hire this company to do this type of work, their large amount of positive ratings speaks for itself.
Thank you Alpha Granite for a job well done!

These people are good professionals. They gave me a quote on line and when we went in to the store, treated very good.
The price was very reasonable too. Install date was fixed and the guys came in and installed. No issues at all. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get granite for their counter top.

Overall it went extremely well. I delayed things and changed my mind a couple of times before making my final decisions and they were extremely nice and accommodating. The men were all professional and very pleasant to work with and the final results were excellent. They did misplace my measurements and had to re measure but I had delayed them so much that could have added to the confusion. They did an excellent job overall! I would highly recommend them to others.

Worked with our very tight timeline - done within 10 days even over 4th of July.  Fabio very helpful responsive to my many questions.  I would have given straight A's but the installers almost let go a crooked cut on a small area of backsplash (1/4 inch short and did not align flush w other piece)  in a very visible part of an island.  They took care of it right away but it bothers me that if I did not say anything he would have just let it there.
Also not sure if this is standard but they let the dishwasher loose (no side mount brackets) and did not c*** over the backsplash. My walls were crooked creating gaps.  We needed to do the painting / finish against wall anyway since the removal peeled some old paint off the walls.  It would have been nice if they did the cocking instead of leaving for me or the "painter".   Its the small customer service details that make the difference some times.  He was more than fair with his price so overall I can not complain.
Overall pleased with our counters and install / service - definitely recommend and would use again.

The countertop looks great and is good quality. However, we asked for a bigger sink and they installed the normal small one, which once installed we couldn't fix. I had a hard time getting a straight answer of why this happened or any sort of accountability. In the end they took $200 off our bill and we are stuck with a small sink. Not ideal, but otherwise the service was fine. Make sure to be very detailed about your order and what you want.

After we purchased the big deal we called to schedule the template. They came the day they were scheduled and measured, etc. I couldn't be there, but their representative called to ask me if we wanted the backsplash portion of the counter and I told him that we did.
They gave us the warehouse information so we could go and choose our slab. You can only tag the top slab of the material you want so even though you are "tagging" the piece you want you get what you get & hope the installer cuts the counter out of the best part of the slab. We chose Premium Black which was an upgrade from the choices that were given in the deal which cost us about $500.00 extra. The counter was beautiful but has a few foggy variations in the color which is more noticeable because the piece is solid black. This is likely just the way the stone looks naturally and is probably only really noticeable to me because I look at them every day, but thought it should be mentioned.
On the whole, we are happy with our new counters, but for people who know very little about granite, we felt somewhat confused throughout and hoped for the best.
